Letter to President Obama #52

The White House

1600 Pennsylvania Ave.  NW

Washington, D.C.  20500

Attn:    President Barack Obama

October 3, 2013

Mr. President:

This week’s government shutdown is proof positive that the federal government is a bloated sewer in need of a major flushing.  If 800,000 government employees are non-essential (your words) then why are me and my fellow citizens being forced to pay their salaries?  I know they won’t get paid during the shutdown but we both know that as soon as the shutdown ends they’ll be paid retroactively.  I have another question.  Will taxpayer funds to the tune of over $1.5 million per day still be flowing into the coffers of Planned Parenthood during the shutdown?  If not, will they be paid retroactively too?

Actually, I have several more questions.  Could you explain to me why the Office of Personnel Management, with your approval, has ruled that members of Congress and the Congressional staff can have elective abortions under your ObamaCare insurance exchanges in direct violation of the law?  Since 1983 the Smith Amendment has prohibited the use of federal funds for abortion expenses and administrative costs related to abortion.  Under what authority can you arbitrarily void any provision of current law?  I know that as a leftist dictator, the law, in your eyes, is whatever you deem it to be on any given day; but that’s not how we do it in America.  Maybe they didn’t teach you this in the Indonesian mudrassas you were educated in.

Mr. President, go ahead and play your little ego games and mine is bigger than yours comparisons with Congress.  I’ll continue to work towards a shutdown that will actually save lives; the shutdown of Planned Parenthood and America’s abortion industry.  Sir, every day that you and Congress keep playing your game of chicken, America’s abortion mills will still be churning out over 3,000 dead children.  Every day that you do nothing to stop the slaughter, over 3,000 more will die a horrible death.

Mr. President, I see life as a challenge to each of us regarding our priorities and what we’re willing to take a stand for.  We can choose to go along to get along and hope that someone else stands up against injustice, or we can choose to help those who can’t help themselves; to hell with the consequences.  That’s where I’m at in my life.  I know, without reservation, that I am here to help save the world’s children.  I may lose everything, alienate everyone in my life, and may fail miserably in my endeavor; I don’t know.  All I do know is that this is too important to worry about myself, and I know in my heart that what I’m working towards is the right thing.

Mr. President, in a perfect world we would have a President who works for the greater good of all the citizens in his country.  We would have a President who fights for the lives of his nation’s unborn children and promotes a culture of life, not a culture of government controlled healthcare.  Mr. President, I have one final question.  Does the government shutdown mean the person you pay to not answer my letters will now not be paid to not answer my letters?  Read it again S-L-O-W-L-Y.

As always, my letters to you are published on my pro-life blog at www.prolifepoppop.com.  Write back and I’ll publish it, unedited.
