We Get the Leaders We Deserve

As an Illinois State Senator, then State Senator Barack Obama voted multiple times against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.  The Born Alive Infant Protection Act was a bill that required medical professionals to provide life-saving medical care to babies who survived botched abortions.  In his opposition to this bill, Senator Obama mused that recognizing babies as persons would entitle them to the 14th Amendment protections under our Constitution.  He went on to state that passage of this bill would end legal abortion and render Roe v Wade mute.

The standard practice in most abortion clinics when a baby survives the procedure meant to kill it is to place the baby in a surgical tray, place the tray in a supply closet or isolated area, and wait for the crying to stop, or to put it bluntly; wait for the baby to die.  The greatest country on earth voted twice to elect as our President a man who supports this practice.  When we put President Obama in office we got what we deserved.  We got what we deserved, but the millions of innocent children who have died and will die under his watch deserved none of this.

When we made Barack Obama our President we elected the most abortion-friendly President in history; a man who proudly proclaimed “God bless Planned Parenthood.”  Our complacency as thousands of unborn children are killed every day and millions are killed every year put us in the position where our President would rather shut down the government than defund the world’s largest abortion provider.

Our complacency has given us a leader who expresses his outrage every time a mass shooting takes place, yet says nothing as thousands of innocent children are killed on a daily basis.  Our leader projects weakness, and the rogue leaders and terrorists of the world are emboldened to pursue their agendas, knowing that America will not take a stand against evil.

When our leaders fail to lead, we are morally obligated to lead ourselves.   The dysfunction of our national leaders is no excuse for allowing over a million innocent children to be killed in America’s abortion mills every year.  We can end the killing without them passing a single bill.  Without the demand for their services, the doors of America’s abortion industry could be closed for the last time tomorrow.  All we have to do is stop deciding to pay an evil empire to kill our unborn children.

Until America stands on the side of life and elects leaders of similar beliefs, we will continue our downward spiral into irrelevancy.  Until we decide, as individuals, to do what our inept leadership lacks the courage or moral fortitude to do, we will remain complicit in the consequences of their inaction and indifference.

Safe, Rare, and Legal = B.S.

Congress recently voted to keep taxpayer dollars flowing to Planned Parenthood, and by doing so they cast a vote for infanticide.  When it comes to saving the lives of innocent children there is no gray area.  Pro-life means you are “all in” for life.  Pro-choice means you don’t care enough to take a principled stand on either side.  And voting to fund the world’s largest abortion provider means you place politics and your own interests over saving the lives of millions of unborn children.

I have zero tolerance for hypocrisy.  I see a political hack like Nancy Pelosi claiming to be a devout Catholic while she says ” abortion is a sacred right.”  She doesn’t have a problem accepting Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger Award and doesn’t have a problem with them killing another child every 90 seconds.  I see Hillary Clinton and her fellow leftists claiming that abortion should be safe, rare, and legal while Planned Parenthood stuffs money into their campaign coffers.

The safe, rare, and legal default of the pro-abortion side is patently riddled with inaccuracies, or B.S. as I prefer to call it.  A procedure specifically designed to kill a human being cannot be considered safe.  A procedure that is performed over a million times every year is not rare.  And a law that flies in the face of our most important founding principle is fundamentally and fatally flawed.

The abortion question used to be used by the left leaning media as the gotcha question for Republican candidates. They would structure the question in a manner that would place the candidate in an impossible position where no matter how well the question was answered it could be reported out of context.   Now that Planned Parenthood has finally been exposed as the evil empire those on my side have known about for decades, the abortion gotcha doesn’t carry the weight it once did.   As a matter of fact, the press is going to great lengths to avoid the issue of abortion this time around.

Safe, rare, and legal are empty words when used to describe abortion.  They are nothing more than a focus group tested phrase designed to make the murder for profit of over a million unborn children every year sound warm and fuzzy.  When a politician utters the words safe, rare, and legal their low information constituency thinks they actually give a damn about the inviolable right to life of every unborn child.  Safe, rare, and legal falls into the same category as “let me be clear” and “at the end of the day.”  Anything a politician says after one of these phrases is almost always a steaming pile of B.S.

Hillary Clinton says she stands firmly behind Planned Parenthood.  Planned Parenthood’s death spiral into irrelevance has begun.  Let’s hope that Hillary’s political ambitions follow the same path.  Let’s hope that the next time we hear her say the words safe, rare, and legal she is describing the frequency and circumstances of Bill’s latest dalliance.

It’s Never Wrong to Do the Right Thing

I heard these words yesterday and they moved me.  They reminded me why I’m willing to spend the rest of my life, if need be, to end the practice of abortion.  They reminded me that even if the work I do does not yield the intended result, I am working for a just cause and doing what I know in my heart is the right thing.  Too many of us acknowledge evil but fail to confront it.  I’m consumed by the evil of abortion, and I’m willing to give everything and lose everything to rid the world of it.

Sparing unborn children from the horror of abortion is the right thing to do.  The abortion industry’s agenda is killing children and making money.  The suffering and violent deaths of millions of unborn children in America would have never happened, nor would it continue today if enough men and women of principle had stood against evil and done the right thing.   I can feel in my heart that we are living in the time when the industry of death that kills thousands of children every day will be brought to its knees.

A year ago, very few of us would have believed that Congress would be taking steps to defund Planned Parenthood. No one would have predicted that horrifying videos of Planned Parenthood harvesting the organs of dead babies for sale would come to light.  There is overwhelming evidence that Planned Parenthood should not be the benefactor of over $500 million in taxpayer money every year.  To put it in perspective, each of Planned Parenthood’s 668 clinics receives nearly $1 million every year from the U.S. taxpayers.

It’s never too late for even the workers at Planned Parenthood to do the right thing.  They could stop killing babies for money tomorrow.  Knowing what the right thing to do is, and not having the courage to take action is no excuse for not taking action.  Our gift of life is granted with conditions.  It obligates us to protect our fellow humans at every stage of development, from conception to grave.  We all know it’s the right thing to do, but far too many of us will abdicate our responsibility in the hope that someone else will do our share.

Doing the right thing can subject you to ridicule and worse.  Many will tell you what you know in your heart is right, is wrong.  They’ll tell you to go along with the crowd and to not make waves.  They’ll try to convince you that the cost of doing the right thing is not worth it.  Don’t listen to them.  It’s never wrong to do the right thing, and I’ll never stop, whatever the cost.

The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act

For 2 years now, Congress has been toying with the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, and all they have accomplished is, well…….nothing.  The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act would ban dismemberment abortions, or more plainly stated, ripping a 5 month old unborn baby apart in order to kill it, with the baby able to feel the pain of every rip and tear as it is killed.

You would think that in a country founded primarily on every human beings’ inherent right to life, bills such as this would not be necessary.  A reasonable person could also conclude that in a country like America it would never be legal to kill over 1 million unborn children every year.  I only wish that all my fellow Americans could be haunted by the visions of the bloody dead bodies of innocent children being ripped from their mothers’ wombs, as I am, every hour of every day.  Maybe then, we would realize, as a society, that funding evil organizations like Planned Parenthood and allowing thousands of innocent babies to be killed every day is contrary to the principles we were founded upon, and flies in the face of civilized human behavior.

Why are we debating whether pain-capable babies should be protected from agonizing deaths when our focus should be on protecting every unborn child at every stage of development?  If we fail to stop the elective killing of any unborn child instead of debating the merits of not killing them only if they can feel it, we are lost.   When we find ourselves arguing over whether we hurt a child while killing it, we miss the point.  If we simply stop killing unborn children, the timing of when and how they can be killed is rendered mute.

In a perfect world we would not have to pass laws to prevent the killing of unborn children, but until we change enough hearts and minds, we have to pass bills like the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.  The House has already passed their version of it.  It’s not perfect, but it’s a start.  The Senate failed to reach cloture even though their version got a majority 54 votes.  Harry Reid’s Senate approved Federal judges with the so-called nuclear option, a simple 51 vote majority.  If the Republican leadership had any courage, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act would be passed under the same rules.

Even if the Senate musters the courage to pass this bill, President Obama will veto it.  I look forward to the President explaining to the American people why he supports Planned Parenthood and why he doesn’t have a problem with dismemberment abortion.

If we stop allowing our unborn children to be killed by an industry of death tomorrow, 60 million will have already died.  Generations from now, when historians are able to objectively assess the events of this era, abortion, especially dismemberment abortion, will be seen as the greatest human tragedy of all time.

Letter to Kermit Gosnell #2: Republished

Two years ago I wrote my second letter to serial abortionist Kermit Gosnell.  Since he has nothing else to do for the rest of his life, I was hoping to get some insight into what makes a monster like him tick.  Like most of the letters I write to those on the pro-abortion side, I never received a reply.  Monsters like Kermit Gosnell are still out there, killing babies just before and just after birth.  We can put our heads in the sand and pretend it isn’t happening or we can shine the light of truth on pure evil.  I choose the latter.

The following letter, written to Inmate #68012-066 on Sept. 25, 2015 was my attempt to inform the uninformed about the dirty job of killing children for money, and the vile individuals who kill for a living.

Dr. Gosnell:

While you’re reaching out to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Clinton Global Initiative and conducting interviews from your prison cell, how about reaching out to the pro-life community.  I, for one, would really like to know what makes an animal like you tick.  Since you have all the time in the world to characterize your crimes against humanity as your personal crusade against poverty, why not take a little time to show some remorse. Instead of trying to start a dialogue on prison and justice reform, start one on ending abortion.

By some accounts, over 44,000 children entered your clinic alive and left dead.  They did nothing wrong.  They committed no crimes.  You sentenced them to death and killed them for money, and now that the death penalty is off the table for you, you dishonor their lives by trying to justify your actions.  Dr. Gosnell, calling yourself a ‘soldier in the world on poverty’ makes about as much sense as Gomer Pyle calling himself a Navy SEAL.

During the 17 years you were killing children in your Philadelphia hellhole, your colleagues at Planned Parenthood and the rest of the abortion industry were busy killing over 20,000,000 babies.  As a horrifying part of this deadly equation, you were one of the ones they referred the very late-term, about to be born, cases to.  They all knew what you were doing and they were all complicit in your crimes.  They all said nothing and they all had no comment when your slaughterhouse was finally discovered.  Sir, as part of your defense, your attorney argued that the babies whose spinal cords you snipped were already dead.  If they were already dead, why did you have to take any further action?

Dr. Gosnell, you can peel back the curtain on the darkest side of America’s abortion industry.  You can name names and reveal the ugly truth about who did what and who looked the other way while you killed viable and even post-birth children.  You can explain how you were able to kill thousands of children for nearly 2 decades without a single regulatory agency visiting your filthy death house. You know where all the bodies are buried, so to speak.

There are more of you out there, and I want to find them and lock their asses up.  Roe v Wade unleashed a modern day Holocaust on America’s children and one more dead child is one too many.  Why not spend the rest of your miserable life working to save our children instead of trying to justify why you killed so many of them.

My letters to you are published on my pro-life blog at www.prolifepoppop.com.  Since you have nowhere to go, write back and I’ll publish your reply, unedited.

Decisions

I spent Saturday afternoon in Ocean City, Maryland with my 2 grandsons.  We decided that a beautiful sunny day by the ocean, with them riding all the children’s rides on the boardwalk, was the perfect way to spend the day.  Their smiling faces and laughs of delight proved that we made the right decision.  The decisions we make every day affect not only us, but those around us.

Neither of my grandsons know that thousands of babies are killed every day in America’s abortion mills.  They’re surrounded by a loving family and have no concept of being unwanted and killed as a matter of convenience.  My grandsons’ world view is a world where every child is safe and happy.  It’s all they know and it’s what I want for every child.  As I write this on a Monday night, thousands of unborn children are spending their last night alive.  They will be killed tomorrow by Planned Parenthood and others for nothing more than money and a callous disregard for their God-given right to life.  The decision to end their lives has already been made.

Based on recent revelations, many of the children killed tomorrow will suffer the final indignity of having their body parts removed and sold by the same organization that killed them.  The people who kill babies for money would have you believe that they are anything but human, until they are born.  All the while they market the organs they remove from them as human body parts.  They’ve made a conscious decision to participate in the greatest human tragedy in the history of the world.

My grandsons deserve to grow up in a world that doesn’t kill its children.  During my lifetime, civilization has made many great leaps.  We put men on the moon, developed supercomputers, and revolutionized the concept of instant information exchange from anywhere in the world.  Ending the killing of our children won’t require a giant leap for mankind.  All we have to do is stop killing them.  Some decisions are hard.  Deciding not to kill innocent children isn’t.

In my State of Maryland both my grandsons could have been aborted right up to the moment of their birth.  The decision to have them killed never entered their parents’ minds. We welcomed them into the world, just like every child should be.  Unlike Planned Parenthood, we consider my grandsons’ body parts to be priceless and the sum of all their parts to be a gift we can’t begin to comprehend.  The decision to stop allowing our unborn children to be killed will yield results the moment it is made.  It’s the right thing to do and there is no logical reason to allow the killing to go on for one more day.

Letter to Planned Parenthood, Aug. 17, 2014: Repost

A year ago I was sitting at my laptop doing what I do just about every day; trying to save children.  When you’re trying to save children, convincing Planned Parenthood to stop killing them is the first thing that comes to mind for me.   The greatest cause of death, by far, in America is abortion.  The cure is easy.  Just stop killing children.

Nearly 1 out of 3 human beings are at risk of dying at the hands of Planned Parenthood and their colleagues before they can be born in America.  During the 30  minutes I spent writing this, about 70 abortions were performed in the greatest country on earth.

The following letter, written on August 17 of last year remains unanswered, just like all the others I’ve written to Planned Parenthood.   With the body parts scandal and Congress trying to defund them, they’re a little busy right now.  I’m sure they’ll get back to me soon.

Ms. Richards:

On a beautiful Sunday morning when I should be relaxing, all I can think about are the innocent children your organization will kill tomorrow.  They don’t know they will die tomorrow.  They’ve done nothing wrong.  All they’re trying to do is be born.  Their untimely deaths have been put into motion by a culture of death and a no consequences mentality promulgated by Planned Parenthood and America’s abortion industry.

Their mothers will leave your clinics tomorrow still as mothers; only now they will be the mother of a dead child.  The inconvenient circumstance you told them you would take care of will haunt them for the rest of their life.  Their child you will kill will be dead forever.  You’ll repeat this process thousands of times this week and hundreds of thousands of times by year’s end.  57 million and counting is the number of tiny lives America’s abortion industry has ended since 1973.  The killing of 57 million human beings by a murder for hire industry should provoke condemnation from the masses, and should not be considered legal in the greatest country on earth.

Ms. Richards, it is an undeniable truth that you kill children for money.  It is an undeniable truth that the living babies that enter your facilities will leave as dead babies.  The medical waste that you dispose of daily was living human beings just hours earlier.  While the average American goes to work every day, harms no one, and goes home to his or her family, your staff members go to work every day, kill children for a living, and then go home to their families.

When you fight against laws that place restrictions on abortion you don’t do so with the welfare of America’s children and their mothers in mind; you do so for your bottom line.  Abortion is Planned Parenthood’s cash cow and anything that threatens your bottom line, even if it means saving innocent lives, must be squashed.  Most average Americans probably don’t know that Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger, a racist eugenicist with the goal of exterminating the black race.  You don’t advertize it, even though you award the Margaret Sanger Award annually to one of the clueless lemmings who support your evil empire.  Case in point, Nancy Pelosi was this year’s recipient.

Ms. Richards, as I’ve written on numerous occasions, I have zero tolerance for violence against children.  I have zero tolerance for organizations like yours who kill them for a fee.  I see no reason to debate the merits of abortion.  There are no merits to abortion and there is no middle ground on this issue.  You are either in favor of allowing unborn children to be killed on demand or against it.  Sooner or later you’ll actually read one of my letters and maybe something I write will make you think about the direction you have taken your life.  I hope you do so soon.

As always, my letters to you are published on my pro-life blog at www.prolifepoppop.com.  Write back and I’ll publish it, unedited.

Deception

You place a living child behind a curtain.  You reach behind the curtain and systematically dismember the child until it is dead.  Under the laws of God and man you have committed a murder.  A living child rests comfortably in its mother’s womb.  An abortionist reaches into the mother’s womb and systematically dismembers the child until it is dead.  Under the laws of God you have killed a human being.  Under the laws of the country I love, the procedure is perfectly legal.  To add insult to injury, the U.S. taxpayers are forced to subsidize Planned Parenthood, the world’s largest abortion provider, to the tune of over $500 million every year, while they make billions from the fees they charge for killing children.

If an unborn child is simply a blob of tissue, as claimed by Planned Parenthood, why does it have to be killed for the abortion procedure to be considered a success?  If an unborn child is not a human being, as claimed by Planned Parenthood, why do they harvest the hearts, livers, and lungs of dead children and sell them as human body parts?  Amid all the recent disclosures of their grisly body parts scandal, Planned Parenthood dragged out one of their oldest and most deceptive talking points; the 3% argument.  Planned Parenthood bundles their services in a manner where every 1 of the more than 300,000 abortions they perform every year is counted as 1 service, just like handing out an STD brochure or a package of condoms is also counted as 1 service.  Technically, the reporting is accurate, but equating an abortion with a brochure is deceptive.

When your main source of revenue comes from killing babies, you have to be creative.  Counting every brochure, abortion, package of birth control pills, or condoms as just another service, allows you to gloss over the fact that your primary focus is killing as many babies as possible, and allows you to report the bloodbath as just 3% of the services you provide.  A morally bankrupt organization like Planned Parenthood doesn’t have a problem being deceptive.  They know that if they were truthful about what they do and how they do it they would be run out of business.

Under the protection of the most abortion friendly President in history, Planned Parenthood was caught flatfooted when video evidence of their crimes against humanity began to emerge.  Their 3% argument, calling what they do women’s health care, and calling what I do a war on women won’t work this time.  The death spiral of Planned Parenthood has begun.  Millions more children will die before abortion ends in America and those of us on the pro-life side must not let up.

As a trained fighter, I have always refrained from kicking an opponent when they were down.  I’m willing to make an exception when it comes to Planned Parenthood.  May the death of Planned Parenthood be swift and brutal, just like it is for the babies in their clinics every day.

Letter to Planned Parenthood Aug. 6, 2014: Repost

A year ago the Middle East was in turmoil and Planned Parenthood was killing babies by the thousands.  A year later, nothing much has changed.  Today, as the Middle East faces the specter of a nuclear Iran, Planned Parenthood faces the real possibility of losing the half billion dollars a year they get from the U.S. taxpayers.

For the last several years my primary focus in life has been closing the doors of Planned Parenthood and ending the practice of killing our unborn children.  I’ve written hundreds of letters to evil organizations and their willing accomplices.  Every waking hour I’m haunted by visions of innocent babies being ripped from their mother’s wombs and killed just as their young lives are beginning.

Last August, when I wrote the following letter to Planned Parenthood’s Cecile Richards, my youngest grandson, who had been born 5 weeks premature, was about to celebrate his first birthday.  I was in awe of how he had fought for his life and more determined than ever to save the lives of his yet to be born friends and playmates.

Just like the dozens of other letters I have written to Cecile Richards, the following letter, written on August 6 of last year, was never answered.  I’ll keep writing.  Sooner or later I’m confident that one of them will reach her desk.

Ms. Richards:

The tenuous truce between Israel and Hamas is emblematic of man’s struggle against his fellow man.  We fight and kill each other to what end?  What difference between any 2 people or nations is justification for killing one another?  How can a terrorist organization like Hamas dedicate itself to the extermination of an entire nation while hiding behind innocent civilians?  How can the greatest nation on earth allow an evil organization like Planned Parenthood to openly prey on its unborn children and kill hundreds of thousands of them every year under cover of its laws?

I don’t have the answer to any of these questions but I do have the solution.  Respect the freedom and Right to life of every fellow human being and accept no less from them, and most of the world’s problems would be solved.  Accept the incontrovertible fact that at the moment of conception every new life’s Right to life is guaranteed, and the world’s purveyors of infanticide would fall to the wayside.

Ms. Richards, Planned Parenthood is not part of the solution to man’s problems, it’s part of the problem.  No business that generates most of its revenue by killing its fellow human beings is of any benefit to the world.  If Planned Parenthood closed its doors tomorrow the world would be a better place.  Ask yourself if the babies your organization will kill tomorrow could decide whether they should live or die, how many would choose to die a brutal death at the hands of your abortionists?

Ms. Richards, I’m under no delusion that I can end abortion tomorrow.  I am, however, determined to end it in my lifetime.  The babies you will kill tomorrow don’t have a choice in the matter.  They have to rely on people like me to fight for their Right to life.  I accept my calling to protect the world’s children as my life’s mission and I will accept nothing less than total and complete victory.

My children and grandchildren and your children and grandchildren deserve to grow up in a world where every life is considered priceless above all else.  You’re a smart person.  You have to know that it can’t end well for an organization that kills babies for money.  You have to know that killing for a living is a zero sum game.  Ms. Richards, there is no logical argument for killing innocent children.  There is no logical argument for fighting against laws designed to protect children.  There is no logical argument for keeping the doors of Planned Parenthood open for one more day.

Truth and Consequences

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has signed legislation into law that would ban non-emergency abortions after 20 weeks of life.  While this bill doesn’t go far enough, it will save lives.  Predictably, a pro-abortion doctors group is now saying unborn babies can’t feel the pain of being killed until 27 weeks.  So what?  Why is the measure of whether an unborn child can feel the pain of being killed, used to determine when or how you can kill them?  If a murder victim can’t feel the pain of being murdered, should murder be allowed?

Our no-consequences society has taken its eye off the ball.  An unborn child is a living human being from the moment of conception.  Debating when or how they can be legally killed is an abomination.  As Planned Parenthood fights for its life after the release of more damning video, many Americans are getting their first look at the dark underbelly of the world’s largest abortion provider.  While the sole purpose of an abortion is to kill a living human being, selling a dead child’s body parts is just good business in the eyes of Planned Parenthood.

People on both sides of the abortion debate refer to unborn babies as fetuses and raise questions as to when an unborn child is viable, or can live outside the womb.  Apparently, they think that calling a baby a fetus makes it appear less human.  Whether or not a child has developed to the point that it can survive outside the womb is irrelevant.  The undeniable fact that an unborn child is alive and human is all anyone needs to know.  The 3,000 or so abortions performed every day in America are nothing less than the intentional killing of 3,000 innocent children.  You can call the child whatever you want and you can call the procedure anything you want.  The end result will always be the same; a dead child.

For the first time in a long time I can feel the momentum building for the pro-life movement.  Planned Parenthood is self-immolating right before our eyes and the benefactors of their campaign contributions are quaking in their boots, waiting for the inevitable question: Will you return the money?  These days Planned Parenthood’s spin machine is working almost as hard as their abortionists.  Trying to paint a pretty picture of an organization caught red-handed selling the body parts of dead children is a daunting task.

As I have said many times, you’re either pro-life or pro-abortion.  There is no middle ground.  The next step towards the end of abortion is defunding Planned Parenthood.  The more than $500 million they get from the American taxpayers every year could be put to much better use than funding an organization that has killed millions of children. Those on the left will fight to the end to keep abortion legal; until the money stops coming from the abortion industry.  I can see that day coming.  So can Planned Parenthood.
