Decisions

I spent Saturday afternoon in Ocean City, Maryland with my 2 grandsons.  We decided that a beautiful sunny day by the ocean, with them riding all the children’s rides on the boardwalk, was the perfect way to spend the day.  Their smiling faces and laughs of delight proved that we made the right decision.  The decisions we make every day affect not only us, but those around us.

Neither of my grandsons know that thousands of babies are killed every day in America’s abortion mills.  They’re surrounded by a loving family and have no concept of being unwanted and killed as a matter of convenience.  My grandsons’ world view is a world where every child is safe and happy.  It’s all they know and it’s what I want for every child.  As I write this on a Monday night, thousands of unborn children are spending their last night alive.  They will be killed tomorrow by Planned Parenthood and others for nothing more than money and a callous disregard for their God-given right to life.  The decision to end their lives has already been made.

Based on recent revelations, many of the children killed tomorrow will suffer the final indignity of having their body parts removed and sold by the same organization that killed them.  The people who kill babies for money would have you believe that they are anything but human, until they are born.  All the while they market the organs they remove from them as human body parts.  They’ve made a conscious decision to participate in the greatest human tragedy in the history of the world.

My grandsons deserve to grow up in a world that doesn’t kill its children.  During my lifetime, civilization has made many great leaps.  We put men on the moon, developed supercomputers, and revolutionized the concept of instant information exchange from anywhere in the world.  Ending the killing of our children won’t require a giant leap for mankind.  All we have to do is stop killing them.  Some decisions are hard.  Deciding not to kill innocent children isn’t.

In my State of Maryland both my grandsons could have been aborted right up to the moment of their birth.  The decision to have them killed never entered their parents’ minds. We welcomed them into the world, just like every child should be.  Unlike Planned Parenthood, we consider my grandsons’ body parts to be priceless and the sum of all their parts to be a gift we can’t begin to comprehend.  The decision to stop allowing our unborn children to be killed will yield results the moment it is made.  It’s the right thing to do and there is no logical reason to allow the killing to go on for one more day.

To Whom it May Concern:

By the looks of your full parking lot, business was good today at the Salisbury, Md. Planned Parenthood office.  Unfortunately, when business is good for you, babies are dying.  Just outside your doors life goes on, while tiny lives are ending just a few feet away.  Today was a beautiful, sunny day in Salisbury, Md.  The innocent children you killed today will never have the experience of enjoying such a day.

Your main office is fighting hard against laws that place restrictions or bans on killing children for money.  After all, if Planned Parenthood can’t kill kids, they’re out of business.  Think about that.  The only way your employer can stay in business is by killing innocent children for money.  The only way you can get paid is by being complicit in their crimes against humanity.  Like it or not, your income is nothing more than blood money; blood money earned from the suffering and death of children just trying to be born.

Taking a human life for nothing other than money is an abomination by any rational standard of human behavior and morality.  Allowing this practice to continue and choosing to do nothing to stop it is equally abominable.  Standing idly by as millions of children are killed every year is something I will never do.  Far too many of my fellow Americans feel that if it doesn’t affect their lives it’s none of their business.

Every child killed today by Planned Parenthood and its colleagues in the abortion industry had a mother and a father.  Every child killed today was granted its animating spark of life by the same One who granted each of us the same gift.  He granted each of them the gift of life for reasons none of us can fully comprehend.  He alone knows the reason, and that’s good enough for me.  Faith in a higher power breeds clarity of thought.  That clarity tells me that every child must be loved and protected from the moment of conception.

Killing children as a matter of convenience is not logical.  Killing children as a matter of convenience is morally reprehensible.  Killing children as a matter of convenience goes against our Creator’s wishes that every life He creates be allowed to grow and flourish.  As a society, we allow the killing to continue at our own peril.  As individuals, we allow the killing to continue and do nothing to stop it at our own peril.

Whether I succeed or fail at this endeavor is out of my hands.  Whether I continue to fight is.  As long as I am breathing or until the killing stops, I will fight on.

To Whom it May Concern:

The home office has had a bad couple of weeks lately, with the pro-life billboard looming over its Jackson, Michigan office and the announcement that they are closing 3 more abortion clinics in Oregon.  The bad news for Planned Parenthood is good news for all the babies who will now get their chance at life.  As much as Planned Parenthood wants to tout the services they provide other than abortion, it’s abundantly clear that, without the demand for abortions, they will go out of business.

Since your office is only open a couple days a week, I can only hope that the mother ship will be pulling the plug on your operation any day now. While there’s big money to be made performing abortions, if the demand for your services is no longer there, it doesn’t really matter, does it?  That’s where I come in.  My mission is to make the world aware of the brutality and corruption that is part and parcel of Planned Parenthood’s business model.  Your President, Cecile Richards is helping me do my job.  By associating with the likes of NARAL and President Obama, she’s showing the world that principles and basic human decency have no place at the table at Planned Parenthood.

I can only assume that even Planned Parenthood requires a basic level of intelligence and reasoning ability from its employees.  Just in case you haven’t figured it out by now, working for an organization that kills babies for money makes you and your fellow employees complicit in every single death.  Every time you schedule an abortion, facilitate the delivery of an abortifacient, or greet a young mother seeking an abortion, you put into motion the death of a tiny human being.  You can try to deny that you have anything to do with killing children if you don’t personally perform the abortions or administer the drugs, but your role as an assistant to the person who actually performs the procedures means the blood of every dead child is on your hands.

While I’m not holding my breath waiting for replies from the Governor, the Wicomico County Executive, and The Wicomico County Council to my letters requesting the State of Maryland and Wicomico County be declared abortion-free zones, hope springs eternal.  Maybe the wheels have already been put into motion to make it happen.  I’ll let you know as soon as I know something.

I’ll continue to keep an eye on your location and hope to see a Space For Rent sign in your window real soon.  In the mean time, I’ll keep writing and you’ll have to keep making decisions about whether to accept delivery of my letters and read them or refuse delivery and convince yourself that I will just go away.
