Letter to Governor Hogan #1

Governor Larry Hogan

100 State Circle

Annapolis, Md.  21401-1925

July 10, 2015

Governor Hogan:

A little over a year ago I wrote to your predecessor and asked him to declare my home State of Maryland an abortion free zone.  I never expected him to reply, but I thought it was worth a shot.  Think about it.  Maryland is a haven for late-term abortionists and thousands of innocent children are killed every year in our State. Even the small Eastern Shore town that I live in has a Planned Parenthood clinic.

As I write this, all over America, States, cities, toy manufacturers, and TV shows are banning the Confederate flag.  They justify their collective outrage by blaming the recent murder of 9 innocent people in a Charleston, S.C. church on a crazed lunatic’s affinity for the Confederate flag, among others.  All this effort is being put into banning the public display of a flag while thousands of unborn children are killed every day.  Our priorities are woefully misappropriated and the moral decline of our society is accelerating.

Governor Hogan, Maryland stopped reporting the number of abortions performed in our State several years ago.  A reasonable person could conclude that this decision was made to avoid the ugly truth about what goes on in the abortion mills in our State.  Late-term abortions are performed right under the noses of the Md. Dept. of Health & Mental Hygiene and the Md. Board of Physicians, and no one raises a finger to stop the killing.  It saddens me that an unborn child can be legally killed right up to the moment of its birth in Maryland.

Sir, with your recent cancer diagnosis I’m sure you are acutely aware of the fragility of human life and just how precious every day is.  You are able to get life saving treatment, and I wish you all the best as you fight for your priceless gift of life.  The cure for all the unborn children being killed in our State’s abortion mills is much simpler; just stop killing them.  Governor, the solutions to many of mankind’s greatest problems are incredibly simple, and abortion is the easiest of all.  Once again, all we have to do to end abortion is to just stop killing innocent children.

So now it’s time to ask you to do the same thing I asked Governor O’Malley to do.  I’m asking you to declare Maryland an abortion free zone.  I’m asking you to stand up on the side of life.  I will stand shoulder to shoulder with you, as will thousands of our fellow Marylanders.  Governor Hogan, our unborn children are not able to fight for their right to life.  If men and women of honor are not willing to stand on the side of life for innocent children, we are doomed as a society and deserving of our fate.

Thank you for considering my request.

Letter to Governor O’Malley #1: Reposted

Back in August of 2013 Martin O’Malley was still the Governor of my home State of Maryland.  My pro-life blog was just in its beginning stage and I was shocked to learn that my State was a haven for late-term abortions.   Before ruining the State of Maryland as its Governor, Martin O’Malley ruined the City of Baltimore as its Mayor.  Now he wants to be our President.  Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t think America is ready for a President who imposed a tax on rain as the Governor of Maryland.

Martin O’Malley is a friend of the abortion industry, just like President Obama, and just like Hillary Clinton.  The last thing we need in the White House is another President who doesn’t have a problem with a million innocent children being killed every year in the greatest country on earth.  Martin O’Malley has a long history of far-left idiocy and utter incompetence.  He needs to fade into the political sunset and retire to a well deserved mediocrity.

I wrote the following letter to him on August 28, 2013 after Governor O’Malley had spearheaded a successful effort to ban the death penalty in the State of Maryland.  I felt it was appropriate to ask that the same accommodation be granted to my State’s unborn children.  I’m still waiting for his reply.

Governor O’Malley:

I know you’re busy so I’ll get right to my point.  Since the death penalty has been repealed in Maryland, I propose that our state’s unborn children be given the same accommodation.  The Guttmacher Institute estimates that 34,290 abortions were performed in Maryland in 2008.  Incidentally, that’s the last year anything resembling reliable data was available and 2 years after the state stopped tracking abortions.  Since Maryland is one of the most abortion-friendly states in the country, I’m curious as to why the Md. Dept. of Health & Mental Hygiene decided in September of 2006 that they would no longer track or report the number of abortions performed in our state.  I’m gonna go out on a limb and speculate that maybe they just didn’t want people like me to know how many innocent children are killed in Maryland’s abortion mills every year.

Governor, I think it’s safe to say that you and I probably don’t agree on much of anything.  We both know you’re toying with a run for the Presidency in 2016 so it’s a no-brainer that you don’t want to stir up the pro-abortion crowd and risk losing all the money they’ll be funneling to your campaign, so the chance of you seriously considering my proposal are just short of nil.  Think about it though.  Condemned criminals convicted of unspeakable crimes are under no threat of death in Maryland while unborn children are killed for a fee with virtually no restrictions, and little, if any, government oversight.

Speaking of government oversight, I recently wrote to both the Maryland Board of Physicians and the Md. Dept. of Health & Mental Hygiene about a physician operating an unlicensed, cash only, abortion clinic in Bladensburg, Md. This doctor was operating the abortion clinic while on probation as a condition of a 2 year suspension of his medical license.  How about looking into this since the only communication I’ve received from the State of Md. is a 2 sentence letter from DHMH acknowledging that my complaint had been handed off to them from the Md. Board of Physicians.

Governor, as a pro-life conservative living in one of the most left leaning states in America, I’m used to incompetency in government and bureaucrats intruding into every aspect of my life.  I’m a big boy and I can deal with the bean- counters.  I refuse, however, to live in a state known as a haven for late-term abortionists without speaking out and drawing attention to the problem.  In future letters I’ll name names and ask for your help.

I’m publishing my letters to you on my pro-life blog at www.prolifepoppop.com.  I’ll publish your replies too, should you take the time to do so.  Sir, I’m committed to ending abortion in America.  I invite you to help.

April 8, 2014

Back in July of last year I learned of a Dr. Mehrdad Aalai operating an unlicensed, cash only, abortion clinic in Bladensburg, Md. In most States Dr. Aalai wouldn’t be allowed within 100 feet of a child, much less allowed to kill them for money; but not Maryland.  The State of Maryland is a safe haven for slimy bottom-feeders like Dr. Aalai.  Clinics like the one operated by Dr. Aalai are where Planned Parenthood and the ‘so-called reputable’ abortion providers refer the big ones; the fully viable, about to be born, healthy babies, to be killed.

I sent the following letter to Dr. Aalai on July 7, 2013. He refused delivery, and it was returned unopened a couple weeks later. By the way, I sent letters to the Md. Dept. of Health & Mental Hygiene, and the Md. Board of Physicians on the same day, advising them of Dr. Aalai’s activities, and asking them to look into it.  Apparently, the Postal Service wasn’t operating very efficiently in Maryland last July since the only one acknowledging receipt of any of my letters was the good doctor.

  Dr. Aalai:

I’m a bottom line kind of guy, so I’ll get right to my point.  Why are you operating an unlicensed abortion clinic in my state?  A better question yet is why are the Maryland Dept. of Health & Mental Hygiene and the Md. Board of Physicians allowing a doctor who has had his medical license revoked, reinstated, then suspended on numerous occasions, and is currently practicing medicine in violation of a 2 year probation, to operate in plain view, right under their noses?

Actually, there are several reasons why you are able to get away with what you are doing in Maryland.  To begin, Maryland has some of the most liberal abortion laws in the nation.  We also have a left-wing wacko with Presidential aspirations running our state who doesn’t want to piss off his pro-choice/pro-abortion base; and our regulatory agencies are, at best, dysfunctional paper tigers when it comes to enforcing state law and holding medical professionals accountable.

But back to you, Dr. Aalai; with your long history of working with the worst of the worst in the abortion industry, Maryland is a perfect fit for you.  You’re able to run your sleazy slaughterhouse as a cash-only business to avoid creating a paper trail while you fly under the radar of our clueless bureaucrats.

Dr. Aalai, in your defense, aside from your well-documented history as an unethical cretin, specializing exclusively in the killing of unborn and newly born children, if there wasn’t a demand for your services you would not be in my State and would not be leaving a bloody trail of dead children, as well as mothers damaged for life by your obvious failings as an incompetent medical professional.

Sir, by copy of this letter, I am initiating inquiries with the Maryland Dept. of Health & Mental Hygiene and the Md. Board of Physicians as to the status of your medical license and the status of your compliance with COMAR as it relates to the licensing requirements for the operation of an abortion clinic in the State of Maryland.

Hopefully, the next knock on your door won’t be coming from a scared, desperate woman, thinking she has no options other than entrusting her body and the life of her unborn child to a paid killer, but a Md. government official slapping a Cease & Desist Order into your sorry mug.

Not to worry though; I’m sure your friends in the abortion industry will find suitable accommodations for you in another abortion-friendly State so you can continue to be that ‘go to guy’ for women wanting to make that ‘little problem’ just go away.
