Repost: Letter to Planned Parenthood #28

I don’t sleep much any more.  Since I committed my life to ending abortion, not a minute goes by that I don’t think about the suffering and death that has been thrust upon the most innocent and vulnerable among us by America’s abortion industry.  A vivid imagination can be both a blessing and a curse.  While occasionally I’ll write a piece that I’m particularly pleased with, much more often my imagination brings me images of the bloody business of killing our children.  I imagine what a late-term baby must feel as it has its first encounter with another human being, as that human being is in the process of killing it.  I imagine the excruciatingly painful death a late-term baby endures as it dies from a toxic saline abortion.  I imagine the feeling of hopelessness and despair a young mother has as she prepares to have her baby killed.  I’m not big on public displays of emotion, but I must confess that I cry almost daily in my quest to make a difference.  On the evening of October 26 last year I was preparing to write another letter to Planned Parenthood.  I was feeling blocked, so I closed my eyes, and the words came pouring out. The following letter was written in about 10 minutes.

 Ms. Richards:

Some days it’s harder than others to come up with 500 words or so in my quest to end abortion.  When I feel blocked, all I have to do is close my eyes and picture a typical day at a Planned Parenthood clinic.  I close my eyes and my ears open up to the silent screams of your tiny victims.  I see the horrible visions that your abortionists will never be able to erase from their memories.  I see the frozen expressions of agony on the faces of the innocent children you killed; their lifeless faces staring into the abyss of your inhumanity.

Ms. Richards, whenever I think I’m at a loss for words, all I have to do is think about you.  Behind your veneer as an intelligent, articulate woman there must lie the heart of a cold-blooded killer.  How else could you run an organization that kills hundreds of thousands of unborn children every year; all for nothing other than financial gain?  When your tenure at Planned Parenthood comes to an end you will walk away with the blood of millions of dead children on your hands.  You’ll leave a legacy of death that is unrivaled in the history of man.  I wish you no harm, but I have to think there is a special place in hell for unrepentant child killers, and their enablers.

When you run an organization that is the leading cause of death for unborn children in America you have a problem, and so does our society.  The citizens of a country that allows its unborn children to be summarily executed are just as guilty as the abortionists that perform the executions.  You kill them, but without the demand for your services you would be unemployed.

Ms. Richards, the culture of death that is enveloping America is on your shoulders and every American’s shoulders.  You promote and advocate for the killing of unborn children as you kill thousands every week. Americans of good conscience are working to save our children, but far too many are clueless, or worse, oblivious to the slaughter.  Killing innocent children is a growth industry in America and the world.  For a few hundred dollars each, 3,300 new lives are cut short every day in our country.

Ms. Richards, I am tormented by the vision of thousands of children being killed every day in the country I love.  I am thankful beyond words for my children and my 2 grandsons.  I mourn the loss of every child that was killed today and my resolve grows stronger every day to save the children doomed to die tomorrow and the next day.  Ms. Richards, Planned Parenthood is a doomed venture and a stark reminder that the intentional death of every human being steals a bit of all our souls.

As always, my letters to you are published on my pro-life blog at www.prolifepoppop.com.  Take the time to reply and I’ll publish it, unedited.

Whenever I write to President Obama I copy Planned Parenthood as well.  I do so since they work hand in hand to promote infanticide in the country I love. The leader of the free world will have presided over the killing of over 10 million unborn children by the end of his second term.  I wrote the following letter to the President on October 17 of last year.  On that night I was particularly aggravated with the man who will, in all probability, go down in history as one of the worst, if not the worst, President in our history.

The White House

1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW

Washington, D.C.  20500

Attn:    President Barack Obama

October 17, 2013

Mr. President:

Turns out your signature piece of legislation, ObamaCare, is just as big a flop as your Presidency.  Your administration has taken the concept of government over-reach to a whole new level.  Unfortunately, as the most pro-abortion President in history, you have done nothing to stop the killing of America’s unborn children.  When a sitting President speaks at Planned Parenthood’s annual gala and ends his speech with the words “God bless Planned Parenthood,” that pretty much says it all.

Mr. President, you know ObamaCare will never work.  You know it will destroy what’s left of our economy.  You know it will make every American complicit in the funding of abortions.  So, why are you so doggedly pursuing something that you know will destroy the country that you swore an oath to preserve, protect, and defend?  The answer is obvious.  Your intent is to destroy America and everything it stands for.

Allowing over a million of our unborn children to be killed every year is part and parcel of the Progressive dream of a socialistic State.  You and yours envision a society where actions have no consequences and personal responsibility is a thing of the past.  In your world the government decides who lives and who dies, who is allowed to succeed, and who must be compelled to fail in order to ‘level the playing field’ for those unable or unwilling to win or lose solely as a result of their own efforts or lack thereof.

Mr. President, eugenics is a necessary component of the Liberal Progressive agenda.  Killing our unborn children, especially those with any sort of fetal abnormality, or those who show up at an inconvenient time is promoted as the societal norm in your warped world view.  Your side spins the methodical dismemberment of a pain-capable living child as a dilation and evacuation.  Your side allows a fully developed child to be murdered while it is in the process of being born and calls it partial-birth abortion.  In your sick minds a child is not to be afforded the right to life and all the Constitutional protections that come with it until it has completely left its mother’s body.  You have no problem killing these children even though they have been fully delivered with the exception of the very top of their heads.

Mr. President, you are presiding over infanticide and not only choose to do nothing to end it; you actively promote it.  I used to think your failings as a leader were simply due to your inexperience and incompetence.  It’s now clear that you really meant it when you said you were going to fundamentally change America.  Change can be good when it improves lives and promotes freedom.  It can be a nightmare when it fulfills the vision of an evil wannabe surrounded by a cadre of clueless academics and bureaucrats seeking to impose their vision of a socialist utopia.

Tonight Nancy Pelosi will become the recipient of Planned Parenthood’s annual Margaret Sanger Award.  She’ll spend the evening glad-handing with baby killers and will most likely be clueless as to what Margaret Sanger actually stood for.  I hope she will realize, if only for a moment, as she accepts the award, that Planned Parenthood has killed millions of children since Ms. Sanger founded it,with the intention of eliminating what she called “human weeds.”   I wrote the following letter to Congresswoman Pelosi a couple months ago and thought today might be a good time to post it again.

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi

235 Cannon H.O.B.

Washington, D.C.  20515

 February 1, 2014

Congresswoman Pelosi:

As this year’s recipient of Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger Award, do you have any idea what you have accepted?  Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger, was an avowed racist and eugenicist.  She formed Planned Parenthood with the expressed intent of exterminating the black children of America, to whom she referred as “human weeds.”  In order to fulfill her vision, Planned Parenthood’s first abortion clinics were established in poor, inner city neighborhoods, where it would be easier to prey on unborn minority children.  Only after discovering how profitable it was to kill unborn children for a fee, did Planned Parenthood clinics start to pop up all over America.  In a perverse sort of way, the modern Planned Parenthood no longer discriminates.  They’ll kill any child of any race at any stage of its pre-birth development, as long as they get paid.

You’ve publicly stated on numerous occasions that you are a devout Catholic.  How do you reconcile your willingness to allow America’s unborn children to be killed by the millions, under cover of the law, with the Catholic Church’s teachings that abortion, under any circumstances, is the killing of a living human being?  Would you be so vocally pro-abortion if Planned Parenthood stopped funneling money to your reelection campaigns?

Congresswoman Pelosi, have you ever seen the body of an aborted child?  Do you know anything about the grisly procedures that are employed to kill America’s unborn children?  Do you even care that another unborn child is killed every 26 seconds in America?

Although you don’t seem to be a paragon of mental acuity, surely you are smart enough to know the difference between right and wrong.  Do you not think that something is wrong with a society that allows over 1.2 million of its unborn children to be killed every year?  Would the deaths of over a million children every year due to anything other than abortion be a cause for concern to you?

When you align your allegiance to an organization such as Planned Parenthood, the blood of America’s children is on your hands.  When you accept the Margaret Sanger Award you are endorsing everything it stands for.  When you watch and do nothing as our country’s children are killed by the millions you accept the inevitable consequences of your inaction.

As a publicity loving, publicly funded parasite, here’s a novel idea for you to make headlines.  Say “no thanks” and return the Margaret Sanger Award to Planned Parenthood.  Tell them to stick it where the sun doesn’t shine and to stop killing babies.  Tell them that you are no longer a friend to America’s industry of death.  Show your grandchildren and the world that you hold the sanctity of every human life in reverence; just like it should be.

 Ms. Richards:

I believe, as living human beings, we all have a few things in common.  We were all allowed to be born.  We value our own lives; love our children and grandchildren, and all breathe the same air.  I’ve racked my brain to try and find where you and I may share common ground on anything else; and I can’t.

You’ve dedicated your life to making the process of killing innocent children readily available and socially accepted.  You are willing to lie and distort reality to further your goals and you run an organization that has killed millions of unborn children since it was founded by an avowed racist.  You’ve used billions of taxpayer dollars to grow your empire of death and actively lobby every day for more.  You support and campaign for pro-abortion candidates and smear their pro-life opponents as a matter of course.  You willingly ignore scientific reality and espouse your twisted views that life does not begin at conception.  You take advantage of scared, confused mothers every day so your organization can kill their children and collect your fees.

Planned Parenthood, under your leadership, kills over 300,000 unborn American children every year.  You promote a culture of death for America’s youth and feign outrage when acts of violence occur, other than the ones performed every day by your employees.  You accuse the pro-life side of waging a war on women while failing to mention that over half the innocent children Planned Parenthood slaughters are tiny baby girls.  You embrace hypocrisy as business as usual and demonize anyone who dares to challenge your motives.  You are the poster child for evil and run an organization that is the leading cause of death for children in America.

Ms. Richards, I don’t like you, you disgust me, and I’m determined to put your organization out of business.  While the sight of you disgusts me, I still believe in redemption.  You could turn your back on the pro-abortion crowd tomorrow and support the pro-life movement.  You could help save children instead of killing one every 94 seconds.  The pro-life movement would welcome you.  All you have to do is listen to that infallible voice that resides in all our consciences, telling us that killing a human being is wrong.

I won’t hold my breath, but I won’t give up hope either.  I still believe in miracles, just like the miracle that every new life represents.

Planned Parenthood Comes to My Town

In August of this year, while doing research on Planned Parenthood, I was stunned to discover that they had opened an office within miles of my home.  At the time I was anxiously awaiting the impending birth of my second grandson and was saddened by the fact that in the small town of Salisbury, Maryland a mother could walk into a Planned Parenthood clinic and have her unborn child killed.  I wasn’t born yesterday and I know that most of the letters I send will never be seen by the intended recipient.  The following letter was addressed to whomever drew the short straw and opened the mail at Planned Parenthood’s Salisbury, Maryland office.

Salisbury Health Center

1506 South Salisbury Blvd.

Court Plaza Shopping Center

Salisbury, Md.  21801

August 2, 2013

To Whom it May Concern:

I was recently appalled to learn that Planned Parenthood was alive and well at your location, less than 2 miles from my home.  I was even more appalled after visiting your website where I learned that you would accept a young woman’s high school I.D., report card, or class schedule as forms of identification.  I can’t tell you how disappointed I am that the abortion industry has opened shop in my Town.

Obviously, I don’t know who will be reading this letter, but in a town this size you’re probably a friend, a neighbor, or an acquaintance of an acquaintance.  Times are tough and work is hard to come by, but is it really worth it to work for an organization that kills over 300,000 babies a year?  Like it or not, you’re being paid with blood money.

Have you read your website?  Isn’t it ironic that your site says the following? “We do not provide childcare services.  We request that you please make childcare arrangements.”  I guess in a perverse kind of way your clients are making childcare arrangements, aren’t they?  I am confused, however, because under your abortion tab you clearly state “Please do not bring children with you to the health center.”  This presents a dilemma on many fronts.  How is a mother supposed to kill her child if she doesn’t bring it with her? Maybe you just don’t want post-birth children to see what happens at your facility.   Whatever the reason for your ‘no children’ policy, I agree with you.  A Planned Parenthood clinic is no place for a child to be, at any stage in its life.

Every dose of Mifepristone(RU486) that your facility administers to a pregnant mother will kill a living human being.  Every referral that you make to a clinic that performs surgical abortions will result in the death of an innocent human being.  Every time a desperate young woman pays you $375.00 for the abortion pill a living baby is about to die.  In my world, every life is priceless and ending one for a few hundred dollars is beyond repugnant.

You and I, and all your colleagues at Planned Parenthood were allowed to be born.  We weren’t guaranteed prosperity, success, or happiness; but we were given a chance.  You will never convince me that every unborn child doesn’t, at the very least, deserve a chance.

Every 94 seconds, somewhere in America your employer kills another innocent child.  I’m pretty sure that most of Planned Parenthood’s employees have never heard of Sophocles, but his work should be required reading for all of you.  He wrote the following: “There is no witness so terrible or no accuser so powerful as the conscience.”  I respectfully request that you dwell on this and rethink what you do for a living.

Ms. Richards:

I hope you and your employees at Planned Parenthood had a wonderful Christmas.  I also hope you and all your employees took the time this Holiday season to reflect on what you do for a living and the suffering and death that occurs every day in your clinics.  America’s abortion industry will kill over 1.2 million unborn children before we celebrate another Christmas.  Planned Parenthood will kill over 300,000 of them.  How you and your staff can look your children in the eyes before you go to work every day is beyond my level of understanding.

Ms. Richards, as a businessman I have to forecast how much work I intend to do and how much money I plan to make every year.  Have you prepared your forecast of how many children your organization plans to kill next year?  Does Planned Parenthood give its employees bonuses for exceeding your projected body count?  What metrics, other than body count and the amount of money you manage to fleece the American taxpayers out of, do you use to determine whether you have had a productive year?

Ms. Richards, I believe in going big or not going at all.  I also believe in the power of intention.  I intend to close the doors of Planned Parenthood forever in 2014.  Just in case you’re wondering how I will close you down; I haven’t a clue. I know it will be done without violence, within the law, and with the help of a higher power.  Who knows; maybe the right person will read one of my letters and set a chain of events into motion that none of us can even imagine.  Maybe next year the pro-life movement will reach the critical mass needed to invoke unprecedented changes in our society and a quantum level of understanding of the true value of every human life.  Maybe the 56 million children aborted in America since 1973 will collectively petition our Creator to soften the hearts of the pro-abortion crowd and return our country to a place where every new life is a welcomed addition.  Whatever it takes to end the killing, we need it now.

As I enter my 60th year in a few weeks, I’m paying more attention to what’s really important.  Money, success, and material possessions are all temporal, and of no intrinsic value in the big scheme of things.  How you conduct your life and the impact and impressions you make on the lives of others are what’s really important.  Human life is the most miraculous creation in a timeless and endless Universe and dedicating one’s life to preserving and protecting it is a worthy calling.

Ms. Richards, closing your doors is my life’s mission and I welcome the fight as a happy warrior.

Reflections

As this year comes to an end I’m reflecting on some of my past work on behalf of the pro-life movement.  On August 21, 2009 I wrote a short piece titled Calling Murder What it is.  I knew at the time that I wanted to do my part to end abortion and save our children.  In the years since I wrote this piece my life has changed in so many ways.  I’m now the proud grandfather of 2 priceless little boys.  I no longer go to work every day just to get a paycheck.  I see the fruits of my day job as a means to provide for others and to be able to contribute to worthy charities.  As I near my 60th year of life I look forward to the time when I can dedicate all my time to helping others and hopefully fulfilling the silent promise I made to both my grandsons that I would leave them a world that was better than the one I was born into.  What follows was written on a steamy August day nearly four and a half years ago.  If you’re counting the days by the Planned Parenthood method, that would be about 5.5 million dead babies ago.

Calling Murder what it is:

The abortion mill at Planned Parenthood’s Sioux Falls, South Dakota clinic may be running a little slower today.  On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Karen Schreier ruled that under South Dakota law women are required to be told by their health care provider, prior to having an abortion performed, that abortion ends a human life

Judge Schreier’s specific ruling was that doctors must make the biological disclosure “that the abortion will terminate the life of a whole, separate, unique, living human being.”  From where I’m sitting that pretty much sums it up.  Anyone not understanding this disclosure, or worse yet, not understanding that life begins at conception, should not put themselves in the position where a child may be conceived if they are unwilling or unable to do everything in their power to insure that the new life in their control is allowed to flourish.   More importantly, any doctor not understanding the ramifications of performing an abortion should revisit the very first statement in the Hippocratic Oath: “First, do no harm.”

As I’ve written previously, over 50 million babies have been murdered in America since that dark day on January 22, 1973 when the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade protected a woman’s right to have an abortion.

Our country needs to realize that the senseless murder of innocent babies does not come without consequences, both moral and societal.  Planned Parenthood gets millions of taxpayer dollars every year to run its abortion mills, making every taxpayer involuntarily complicit in the murder of millions of innocent children.  I, for one, am outraged that even one dime of my hard earned money is used to kill babies, and beyond outraged that a supposedly civilized society could condone these grisly procedures.

My friends, we are better than this.  The rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as granted by our Creator; the very core principles that our country was founded on, are diminished, diluted, and ignored every time another baby meets its fate at the hands of an abortionist.  All Americans need to realize that you cannot break these principles; you simply break yourself against them.

This ruling is one more chip out of the abortion wall and hopefully is one more step towards reversing Roe v. Wade, and an irreversible move back to an America where every baby is guaranteed its God given right to life.

Mr. President:

Deceit is an ugly thing.  You try do drown it in lies and cloth it in irrelevance but the pesky little thing keeps floating to the surface.  You’ve been telling Americans of conscience for years that ObamaCare would not make them unwilling contributors to abortion.  You lied, we know you lied, and you know you lied.  Mr. President, I work hard for my money and I don’t have a problem paying my fair share of taxes.  What I do have a problem with is even one dime of my tax money being used to kill innocent children.

Roe v Wade allows a mother to have her unborn child killed in America.  It doesn’t compel me to pay for it.  Roe v Wade allows Planned Parenthood and the rest of America’s abortion industry to make billions of dollars killing our children.  ObamaCare ups the ante by making it easier to get an abortion and will funnel even more taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood.  And to add insult to injury, Planned Parenthood is being paid millions of dollars more in taxpayer money to be a navigator for ObamaCare.  Mr. President, 56 million dead children, killed under cover of law in the greatest country on earth is a tragedy of incomprehensible proportion.  Using government to quicken the pace of the killing is a travesty.

Roe v Wade became the law of the land through deceit and false testimony, and against the wishes of most Americans.  ObamaCare became the law of the land through deceit, misrepresentation of the facts, and against the wishes of most Americans.  Mr. President, do you see a pattern here?  Abortion is the progeny of the liberal elite; the liberal elite who feel they should be the arbiters of who should live and who should die.  Abortion in America is based on the flawed premise that a woman has the Right to choose to have the child living inside her killed.  While it may be legal for a woman to have her unborn child killed, no one has the Right to have another human being killed.

Mr. President, deceit in a leadership position is an abuse of power and leads a nation one step closer to becoming a totalitarian State.  A leader who chooses to ignore the Right to life for his most vulnerable citizens is no leader at all.  A leader who actively promotes the killing of unborn children for any and all reasons is not a real leader.

Mr. President, I’m not the leader of the free world, I’m just one voice among many who will never be silent until every unborn child is afforded the same Right to life that you and I enjoy.  Since you choose not to answer my letters or have one of your staffers answer them, I can only assume one of two things.  Either you agree with me or you feel that my concerns for America’s unborn children don’t warrant the attention of someone of your unwarranted sense of importance.

Ms. Richards:

I’m sure the folks at Planned Parenthood are still stinging from your resounding defeat in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.  All the money you spent and all the professional protesters you hired to strike down key provisions of Texas’s H.B. 2 was all for naught.  Provisions in the bill requiring doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at hospitals within 30 miles of their abortion clinic, and restrictions on the administering of RU-486 were upheld.  Sucks to be you doesn’t it?

Ms. Richards, I know you want to kill babies, but why did you fight a bill that would make abortion safer for the mother?  When you kill a baby with RU-486 why don’t you want a doctor to supervise the killing?  If you employ a doctor to perform abortions and the doctor doesn’t qualify for admitting privileges at a nearby hospital do you feel he or she can provide quality care for your clients?  If an abortion procedure goes horribly wrong do you think having access to a nearby hospital would be a good thing?

We both know that the only reason you fought so hard to strike down the restrictions in H.B. 2 was money.  Performing late-term abortions in sleazy clinics, in unsanitary conditions, with unqualified doctors is Planned Parenthood’s high margin item.  Killing highly developed babies in the most brutal manner is what you do best.  In your warped Universe dead babies are just the means to an end; no big deal.  As long as you get paid, what’s a few hundred thousand dead babies every year; right?

Ms. Richards, on the bright side for you, now that you’ve had your ass handed to you in Texas you have plenty of time to fight the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act in the Senate.  You’ll find plenty of like-minded pro-abortion ideologues there.  I’m quite sure you’re already on a first name basis with most of them.  You’ll most likely spend an eternity in hell with more than a few of them.

Get used to losing your fights to make abortion more accessible and socially acceptable.  The two out of three children that you don’t kill before they are born are growing up in a country that is evolving towards a pro-life mentality.  By the time they are old enough to form an opinion, abortion in America will be history.

I’m glad that you lost on Tuesday and I’m glad that babies over 20 weeks old in Texas will get to live.  Now it’s time to save the rest of them.

Letter to President Obama #68

The White House

1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW

Washington, D.C.  20500

Attn:    President Barack Obama

November 20, 2013

Mr. President:

Last Sunday while your friends at Planned Parenthood were pulling out all the stops in their attempt to defeat Albuquerque’s Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Ordinance I was running til I dropped with my nearly 3 year old grandson.  We ran and played in my yard and the joy on his face was priceless.  Mr. President, the memories I’m making with my grandkids are the most important in my life.  Unfortunately, the memories every mother leaves a Planned Parenthood clinic with will haunt her forever; and the child she leaves behind will never get the chance to form the memories of a lifetime.

Mr. President, it doesn’t have to be like this.  America could stop killing its unborn children tomorrow.  America’s industry of death could close tomorrow and nobody would notice; nobody but the babies who would get to live, the mothers who would bring a new life into the world, and the grandparents like me who would get to spoil their grandkids rotten.  America’s culture of death could end tomorrow and all the unintended consequences of killing our unborn children would slowly begin to fade with it.

Mr. President, you could make this happen.  Ending the intentional killing of our unborn children would be painless.  There is no downside to allowing babies to be born.  Allowing life to follow its natural course is the default setting for every human being.  All that is needed is a leader who believes the Right to life trumps all other Rights.  All that is needed is a reawakening of the basic principles our Founders enumerated in a little document you’ve chosen to ignore; the Constitution.  All that is needed is for every human being to respect every other human being’s Right to life.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Gandhi both had dreams and both knew that violence was never the answer to any problem.  They both changed the course of their nations, and changed the world without the use of violence.  They both changed the world through an unwavering force of will for causes that were bigger than their personal aspirations. The pro-life movement, like these inspirational leaders, is a steady, unrelenting drumbeat.  It won’t go away and will never give up.  It moves forward for a just cause and is life-affirming.  The pro-life movement doesn’t resort to violence; it seeks to end violence.  The pro-life movement pitches good against evil, secure in the knowledge that good will always prevail.

Mr. President, we will end the killing of our unborn children with you or without you.  We will prevail over the evil you condone and know in the end that we gave our all for a cause worth giving everything.
