Degrees of Outrage #13

Honor and integrity are very important to me.  I see living a principled life as the best way to be a positive influence on your family and peers.  I also see an American society teeming with uninformed morons, clamoring to be offended by the slightest perceived provocation.  Friday night in Chicago, a group of self-proclaimed speech censors took it upon themselves to deny thousands of Trump supporters the opportunity to hear Mr. Trump speak.  These idiots hide behind the Constitution when it serves their purpose, but deny the same Constitutional right to free speech they claim to be expressing, to anyone they feel should be silenced.

Mr. Trump’s opponents are now claiming that he is responsible for the MoveOn.org thugs who incited violence and caused his speech to be cancelled.  That’s not how free speech works.  Whether you agree with Donald Trump or not, he has the right to peaceful assembly and free speech.  If you don’t like his message, don’t listen.  I don’t support Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders, but I support their right to free speech.

MoveON.org has claimed responsibility for organizing the hostilities Friday night.  Just a reminder, MoveOn.org was founded on behalf the Clintons during the late 90’s in an attempt to have the media and the public move on from Bill’s sordid sexual exploits and Hillary’s mulitple ethical challenges.  MoveOn’s modus operandi is to organize low information individuals, most of whom have no idea what they are protesting against, into unruly mobs.

The liberal wackos disrupting Trump’s speeches and inciting violence have taken it upon themselves to decide who gets to speak and who doesn’t.  They’re all for the 1st Amendment until they don’t agree with what you have to say.  Honor and integrity mean nothing to them.  It’s all about them, and nothing else.  These same idiots and organizations think that Roe v Wade created the right for a woman to choose to have her unborn child killed.  They don’t understand that rights can only be granted by God.  When despicable organizations like MoveOn.org try to shut someone like Donald Trump down, all they do is guarantee that he will dominate the news cycle.   When they promote organizations like Planned Parenthood and fight for what they call abortion rights, they bask in the blinding light of utter stupidity.

Liberals claim to have all the answers and demand that anyone who doesn’t agree with them be silenced.  They field a corrupt felon and a washed up socialist as their Presidential candidates and are willing to blindly follow them to oblivion if they are elected.  Liberal wackos have the right to express their opinions, however misguided they may be; and I have the right to ignore them and to work for everything they are against.  They support an abortion industry that kills over 3,000 innocent children every day in America and I will continue to fight for every life they don’t think matters.

When liberals win, bad things happen.  When liberals get offended, more often than not, I get amused.  If this expression of my right to free speech offends anyone; so be it.

Smoke and Mirrors

Abortion is called reproductive health care.  The terrorist attack on the Benghazi Consulate is blamed on a video by the woman who wants to be the President of the United States.  A Delta Force hero is killed in combat in Iraq and the White House twists itself into knots to describe his death as anything but combat related.  Honor and integrity have been replaced with political agendas and outright lies.

Planned Parenthood is in the business of killing babies for money.  The least they can do is be intellectually honest about what they do and why they do it.  Anyone with half a brain knows that if Hillary Clinton’s mouth is moving she’s lying.  And whether the President wants to call it boots on the ground or not, when one of our military heroes is killed in a firefight, he died in combat where our troops were on the ground.

Just like they bleep out expletives on TV, everyone knows what the person is saying and what they mean.  A politician gets caught in a lie and says he misspoke.  Everyone knows he lied but since it’s labeled differently, he gets a pass.  He gets caught telling a series of lies and finally admits to conducting a campaign of disinformation.  Nothing has changed, but the label placed on the lies makes them palatable to the low information crowd.

The abortion industry and politicians have created an artform of calling what they say and do anything but what it actually is.  99% of women will not enter a Planned Parenthood clinic this year, yet the far left and the pro-abortion crowd say that taking away the more than $500 million they get every year from the U.S. taxpayers will have a devastating effect on women’s’ health care.  With the use of lies and creative math, Planned Parenthood tries to convince the world that abortion only represents 3% of their services.  They justify this with their accounting practices.  Walk into a Planned Parenthood clinic and get 5 brochures and 5 packages of condoms and, by their accounting, they have provided 10 services.  Walk into a Planned Parenthood clinic and pay to have your baby killed and, by their accounting, you have received 1 service.

No matter how much spin you try to put on the truth, the truth still is what it is.  Whether you choose to call abortion reproductive health care, pregnancy termination, or a woman’s right to choose, it is still a procedure designed to kill a baby.  Whether you tell a lie and say you misspoke, you still told a lie.

I’m tired of being fed politically correct, poll tested gibberish designed to promote agendas and avoid the truth.  If the cause you are promoting can’t stand up under the the light of truth, maybe you should be working for a different cause.  Buying into smoke and mirrors got us the worst President in the history of our country.  It conveys a false sense of legitimacy to disastrous candidates like Hillary Clinton, who belongs in prison instead of the White House. Smoke and mirrors gave us Roe v Wade and a body count of 60 million dead babies.  It’s time to embrace the truth again and to demand no less from everyone.

We Get the Leaders We Deserve

As an Illinois State Senator, then State Senator Barack Obama voted multiple times against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.  The Born Alive Infant Protection Act was a bill that required medical professionals to provide life-saving medical care to babies who survived botched abortions.  In his opposition to this bill, Senator Obama mused that recognizing babies as persons would entitle them to the 14th Amendment protections under our Constitution.  He went on to state that passage of this bill would end legal abortion and render Roe v Wade mute.

The standard practice in most abortion clinics when a baby survives the procedure meant to kill it is to place the baby in a surgical tray, place the tray in a supply closet or isolated area, and wait for the crying to stop, or to put it bluntly; wait for the baby to die.  The greatest country on earth voted twice to elect as our President a man who supports this practice.  When we put President Obama in office we got what we deserved.  We got what we deserved, but the millions of innocent children who have died and will die under his watch deserved none of this.

When we made Barack Obama our President we elected the most abortion-friendly President in history; a man who proudly proclaimed “God bless Planned Parenthood.”  Our complacency as thousands of unborn children are killed every day and millions are killed every year put us in the position where our President would rather shut down the government than defund the world’s largest abortion provider.

Our complacency has given us a leader who expresses his outrage every time a mass shooting takes place, yet says nothing as thousands of innocent children are killed on a daily basis.  Our leader projects weakness, and the rogue leaders and terrorists of the world are emboldened to pursue their agendas, knowing that America will not take a stand against evil.

When our leaders fail to lead, we are morally obligated to lead ourselves.   The dysfunction of our national leaders is no excuse for allowing over a million innocent children to be killed in America’s abortion mills every year.  We can end the killing without them passing a single bill.  Without the demand for their services, the doors of America’s abortion industry could be closed for the last time tomorrow.  All we have to do is stop deciding to pay an evil empire to kill our unborn children.

Until America stands on the side of life and elects leaders of similar beliefs, we will continue our downward spiral into irrelevancy.  Until we decide, as individuals, to do what our inept leadership lacks the courage or moral fortitude to do, we will remain complicit in the consequences of their inaction and indifference.

Defund Planned Parenthood

For years now, I’ve been asking our elected leaders to defund the world’s largest abortion provider.  The American taxpayers are forced to provide over $500 million to Planned Parenthood every year.  By doing so, we support an organization that kills another child every minute and a half.  Recent videos have revealed the depth of depravity to which Planned Parenthood is willing to go; harvesting and selling the body parts of the children they kill.  Margaret Sanger Award recipient, Hillary Clinton is predictably coming to their defense, dusting off her “war on women” mantra.

Standing up for an innocent child’s right to life is not a war on women, and refusing to fund an organization that kills over 300,000 unborn children every year isn’t either.  Yesterday, a move in the Senate to defund Planned Parenthood was defeated.  I see this as a temporary setback and a gauge of Planned Parenthood’s influence among the political class.  This time last year I was being called crazy for predicting that we would defund the most evil business venture in the world.  Now, the real possibility of defunding legislation making it to the President’s desk is in sight.  The President will veto it, but Planned Parenthood will be mortally wounded.

I take no pleasure in saying that I enjoy seeing the desperation in the eyes of Planned Parenthood’s big shots as they try to spin the recent revelations of their utter inhumanity.  I dream of seeing Planned Parenthood’s doors close for the last time and I can see their demise in the near future.  Unlike the innocent children that they kill by the thousands, Planned Parenthood will go down fighting.  They make billions killing babies and they can buy the best lawyers, judges, and politicians.  They’ve proven that they will resort to anything to insure their own survival; just like they will resort to anything to kill children and sell their body parts.

Since 1973 the abortion industry has thrived under a veil of secrecy.  They knew it couldn’t last, but they hoped it would.  We are approaching a critical mass where the visual evidence of an industry of death will result in its undoing. Killing children for money is a bloody business.  Disposing of the dead bodies of over 3,000 innocent children every day can’t be done delicately.  Trying to convince a civilized society that a child in the womb is not a living human being is a no win venture.

Planned Parenthood is a wart on the nose of humanity.  Just like a wart, it must be excised and unceremoniously disposed of.   America is waking up to the holocaust unleashed by Roe v Wade, and the nightmare won’t end until Planned Parenthood is no more.

The Game of Life

I have mixed emotions on the Supreme Court’s gay marriage ruling.  I believe that marriage is supposed to be a bond between a man and a woman.  I also believe that 2 people who love each other should be able to live their lives together as they see fit, regardless of their gender, as long as they understand the consequences of their actions.  The rule book (the Bible) says that marriage is between a man and a woman. I didn’t write the rule book and I don’t question the wisdom of the One who made the rules.  As a sinner, who am I to judge other sinners?

Stacked up against abortion, terrorism, and a general decline in civilization as we know it, gay marriage is way down on my list of things to worry about.  I believe that whether you are gay, straight, black, white, or otherwise, you have the same right to life as anyone else.  This right to life begins at conception.  What we do with our lives is up to each of us as individuals, and we all will be held to account for the actions we take in the exercise of our free will.

I look at life as a game.  As with any game, there are rules for the game of life.  We kill our unborn children under cover of the laws of man and fool ourselves into thinking we are playing by the rules.  We ignore that little voice in our heads and tell ourselves that since it’s legal it must be right.  We pick and choose among the rules in the rule book and ignore the ones that inconvenience us.  We tell ourselves that some of the rules are more important than others and that everything will work out in the end.

The highest court in the greatest country on earth has given us abortion, gay marriage, and ObamoCare.  9 lawyers in black robes have literally changed the course of history in America.  Their 5-4 decision in Roe v Wade has resulted in the deaths of over 60 million unborn children since 1973.  It’s time for term limits and accountability for the Supreme Court.  It’s time for them to step back into the game and get back to calling balls and strikes, not creating laws from the bench and imposing their politically motivated views on a Constitutional Republic.

Once again, as one who is more flawed than most, I don’t claim the moral high ground on anything.  What I do know, with every fiber of my being, is that killing unborn children is wrong.  I also know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that my purpose in life is to end the practice of abortion. In pursuit of my purpose I will play the game of life as I see fit. Anyone I offend along the way will just have to deal with it.  And any child I’m lucky enough to save will have a lot of choices to make as they play their own game of life.

The End of Abortion #2

Every 4 years the Presidential candidates on the Republican side are ambushed by the left-leaning media with the abortion question.  They’re asked why a woman shouldn’t have the right to have her unborn child killed at any time prior to birth and asked to explain why there shouldn’t be exceptions to any laws restricting abortion.  Every time, they box the candidate into a corner where any answer they give is construed and reported as a war on women.  These questions are asked for one reason only; to score a gotcha.  The Democrats are always given a pass and never asked the tough questions.  They dutifully trot out, kiss the ring of the pro-abortion lobby, and quote the standard liberal talking point that abortion should be “safe, rare, and legal.”  No one believes it but it gets them through the abortion gauntlet and they move on.

This time around it’s not working out the way it always has in the past..  When asked about his position on restrictions to abortion without exception, Rand Paul threw it back to them.  He told them to ask Debbie Wasserman Schultz if she is ok with  killing a 7 pound baby in the womb because it has yet to be born.  The utterly clueless Schultz has been sputtering and stammering all week and, so far, has not answered the question.  I have a couple questions for Congresswoman Schultz: When does life begin?  Does life spontaneously erupt seconds before a child is born or is an unborn child a living human being from the moment of conception?

Schultz and her cohorts on the pro-abortion side would have you believe that the abortion debate is centered around the question of viability outside the womb and a woman’s so-called right to decide whether her unborn child should live or die.  They studiously avoid the question of when life begins and continue to ignore the fact that an unborn child is a unique and separate living human being, living inside its mother’s body.  When pressed on abortion, they invariably revert back to Roe v Wade and try to justify the killing of millions of children on the back of a flawed Supreme Court ruling.

Whether a child has developed to the point that it can survive outside the womb has no bearing on the fact that it is alive.  Just like an unborn child, anyone undergoing major surgery is kept alive by independent support systems during the procedure.  They’re still alive.  They just need a little help, just like an unborn child.  Tying your position on abortion  to viability outside the womb is a constantly moving target.  Children who would not survive outside the womb 10 years ago, now routinely survive.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s side needs to step into the 21st century.  They all need to grow a spine and to stand on the side of life.  They need to accept the reality that life is a divinely endowed right and that this right is not conditioned on the stage of development of any human being.  As long as blithering idiots like Debbie Wasserman Schultz infest the halls of Congress, meaningful legislation to ban the killing of unborn children will not happen on the Federal level.  Abortion will be brought to an end by the States, and many are hard at work right now working on the side of life.  In the end, the killing of our children by a blood-thirsty abortion industry will only stop when we, as individuals, embrace the sanctity of every human life and collectively commit to protecting every human being from the moment of conception.

The Problem With Abortion

Contrary to popular opinion, the problem with abortion isn’t that it’s legal; the problem is that otherwise rational people don’t have a problem with it.  Abortion is the end result of a systemic erosion of basic values in our society and a conditioned response to a no consequences mindset.  We got to this point by entertaining ourselves with senseless acts of violence, and in the process became desensitized to senseless acts of violence; like abortion. We’ve abandoned the concept of personal responsibility and bought into a herd mentality that we’ve been tricked into thinking will absolve us of the consequences of our individual actions.

In January of 1973, five out of nine old white guys in black robes declared that Roe v Wade was the law of the land. Over the last 42 years nearly 60 million unborn children have been legally killed under cover of law.  The law isn’t the problem. The demand for abortion is the problem.  Legal or not, if the demand for abortion wasn’t there, there would be no Planned Parenthood or the parasitic leaches like NARAL and the NAF that depend on them.  If the demand for abortion wasn’t there, another unborn child wouldn’t be killed every 26 seconds of every hour of every day in America.

We all share in the blame for the thousands of children killed every day in our nation’s abortion mills.  Those of us on the pro-life side could have worked harder on behalf of today’s innocent victims.  The citizens of America making a living in the abortion industry, could have gone home and looked into the eyes of their own children, and realized the shared humanity between their children and the ones they helped kill today.  Our elected leaders  could look inside their hearts and realize that, like it or not, they are looked upon by those they lead as role models.  The positions they support and the behaviors they endorse are deemed the norm by the ones that put them in office.

The problem with abortion is its definition; the act of killing an unborn child.  The problem with trying to justify killing an innocent child is that there is no justification.  I can continue to write about the horror of killing innocent children and the moral ramifications to a society that allows abortion on demand until my fingers wear to the bone.  If my actions don’t save lives or help end the practice of abortion, I’ve accomplished nothing.  If I give up and hope that someone else will take my place, I’ve wasted the gift of life I was given and turned my back on the calling I feel in my heart.

The problem of abortion won’t go away on its own.  Neither will I.

Optimism

As I rapidly approach my 61st year, I’m optimistic.  I can sense the abortion debate slowly swinging to the pro-life side. The House and Senate both have pro-life majorities and the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act has a real chance now to get to the President’s desk.  And I can see Rand Paul’s Life at Conception Act being the death blow to Roe v Wade as soon as we have a President with the courage to serve his or her country instead of his or her party.   President Obama will veto the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and I’m optimistic that someone in the press will ask him to explain why he thinks pain-capable babies should be killed by dismemberment.  I’m anxious to see how his spin machine tries to justify his veto as anything other than his willingness to sacrifice thousands of innocent children in order to placate his friends in the abortion industry.

Absent the fancy marketing and political correctness, the killing of America’s children by Planned Parenthood and its partners in the abortion business would be seen for what it is; crimes against humanity.  Americans have been conditioned to accept what they are told as the truth, without questioning the motives of the ones selling them a bill of goods.  Bottom-feeders, like Planned Parenthood, know they can package the brutal killing of unborn children as “reproductive health care” and that most people won’t ask what these words really mean.  Most of my fellow Americans agree that the taking of an innocent life is wrong, but choose to remain at arm’s length from the abortion debate; not willing to take a public stand for every child’s Right to life.

Standing on principle and fighting to defeat evil was never meant to be easy; but it’s the right thing to do.  If my work on behalf of the pro-life movement makes anyone feel uncomfortable; tough.  I’m not in this to make friends.  I’m in this to save lives.  While I have no metrics to measure whether I’ve changed any minds or saved any lives, I’m optimistic that if I stay the course, miracles are possible.  When you accept the call to save lives you start examining the course of your own life.  You realize that most of the things you once considered important are anything but so.  You accept on faith that sacrificing everything for what you believe in is a noble pursuit, and worth the sacrifice.

Feeling optimistic but waiting for someone else to take the actions that feed your optimism is a sure recipe for having your dreams dashed.  My dream of a world where every child is allowed to to be born will only be realized through my efforts and those of millions of other like-minding people, most of whom are much better equipped for the task than I.  James 2:14 says “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works?  Can faith save him?”  In my humble translation of this verse, if you want something to happen, get off your butt and go do something to make it happen.  I invite any and all who agree with my mission to do just that.
