Gentlemen:

I am writing to inquire as to the licensing status of Dr. Mehrdad Aalai.  It is my understanding that Dr. Aalai is currently serving a 2 year probationary period as it applies to his license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland.  It is also my understanding that Dr. Aalai is currently operating an unlicensed abortion clinic at the following address:

Annapolis Road Medical Center

5632 Annapolis Road, Suite 7

Bladensburg, Md.  20710

            My question is this: If Dr. Aalai is indeed operating an unlicensed abortion clinic at the above location; does this constitute a violation of his probation and provide grounds to suspend or revoke his license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland?
