Sept. 5, 2014

Right about this time last year the worst President in the history of our great nation was making noises about attacking Syria.  His sole intent was to garner political points, not to help anyone or save any lives.  In the end, just like every other time during his tenure that a tough decision had to be made, he was all talk and no action.  A year later he is all over the place with his statements about what he will or won’t do to to defeat ISIS.  The world is on fire and he is saying we can transform a bloodthirsty terrorist organization into a manageable problem.

Elections have consequences and poor decisions result in poor outcomes.  America gets the leaders we deserve, and like it or not, we’re stuck with President Obama for 2 more years.  Last Sept. 8th I wrote the following letter to the President.  I wanted to convey my contempt for his naivete and utter disregard for protecting innocent lives.  One year later it’s rather apparent that he didn’t get the message.

Attn:    President Barack Obama

Mr. President:

I just wanted to remind you that while the world watches with baited breath as you speak Tuesday night, America’s abortion industry will still be killing our unborn children at a rate of 1 every 26 seconds.  While we wait to see if you will unilaterally, albeit unconstitutionally decide to lob cruise missiles, at a million and a half bucks a copy, into Syria, America’s abortion mills will end another busy day with a final tally of about 3,300 dead babies.

Your friends at Planned Parenthood will be watching too.  They won’t be worried about the cost of this operation or the death toll though.  They know that they’ll still be getting their forced contribution from the American taxpayers this year of over $500 million; or the cost of somewhere between 300 and 400 cruise missiles.  Mr. President, Planned Parenthood will kill over 330,000 American babies with the $500 million they get from our government this year.  How many Syrian children will your ‘limited operation’ kill?  Have you done the calculation?  Do you care?

Mr. President, what is the logic behind killing innocent civilians with explosives because either their government or radical Islamists killed innocent civilians with chemical weapons?  Innocent children are killed every day in America with lethal chemicals.  Every day, toxic saline amniocentesis abortions are performed and every day lethal RU 486 drugs are administered to kill unborn American children and you say nothing. Every day the death toll in America’s abortion mills is more than double the highest reported number of deaths attributed to the chemical weapons attack you’ve chosen to make a “measured and appropriate’ response to.

Here’s a suggestion.  Make a “measured and appropriate” response to the killing of 1.2 million unborn children in America this year.  If you’re willing to spend billions of dollars to participate in a civil war between Al Qaeda supported rebels and a brutal dictator, surely you’re willing to put forth at least as much effort to defend the lives of America’s unborn children.  If you feel that the killing of millions of unborn children on your watch isn’t important enough for you to weigh in on, please explain why.  I’d like to know.

Mr. President, this is where I normally advise the recipients of my letters that I’ll be publishing them on my pro-life blog at www.prolifepoppop.com.  I’m sure the NSA knows this already.  I’ll publish your replies and theirs too should either of you choose to reply; unedited of course.

Mr. President:

Shortly after 9/11 your good friend and mentor Jeremiah Wright said “America’s chickens have come home to roost.”  The culture of death in America’s abortion mills and the rise of fanatical terrorist organizations throughout the world is the Universe telling us to change our ways.  Statements from a racist hate-monger like Jeremiah Wright mean nothing.  Human suffering and death at the hands of murderous organizations like Planned Parenthood and ISIS are real and present dangers to our way of life and must be dealt with now; not kicked down the road for future generations to deal with.

Statements from you that an organization like ISIS can be reduced to a manageable threat level shows that you truly are an amateur.  Mr. President, the civilized world cannot co-exist with evil; it must eliminate evil.  How do we end the practice of killing our unborn children for money or stop Islamic thugs from murdering thousands of innocent people if we don’t even have the courage to call evil out by name?  Your administration refuses to call ISIS an Islamic terrorist organization even though they use the word Islamic in their name.  You call the elective killing of an unborn child abortion, pregnancy termination, and a woman’s right to choose.  You lack the courage to call Islamic goons what they are and turn your head as over a million unborn children are murdered in the womb every year in America, and wonder why our chickens have come home to roost.

Mr. President, your ineptitude and contemptuous disregard for moral clarity have placed the world and your country in danger.  You allow thousands of innocent American children to be killed every day, but you’re reluctant to take the fight to a gang of blood-thirsty terrorists.  Sir, if any of your advisors have a shred of honesty in them they will tell you that you are projecting an image of weakness to the world.  Like it or not, we are in a war with Islamic terrorists.  You have 2 choices; win the war or do nothing and allow the world to descend into anarchy.  This is no time for the leader of the free world to become a linguini-spined, blubbering dunce.  Get with the program and start doing what you swore an oath to do.

Mr. President, this is a seminal moment for America.  We have a unique opportunity to show the world the true meaning of courage and commitment.  We can end the killing of our unborn children and show the world how we respect the Right of every unborn child to be born and to make the most of the gift of life they have been given.  We can show the world that we have the moral courage to fight those who would take innocent lives in the name of an insane ideology and to eliminate evil from the face of the earth.

Mr. President:

Cowards know what the right thing to do is, but don’t have the courage to do it.  They go through life hoping someone else will make the difficult decisions they don’t have the stomach for; hoping that someone else will have the courage they can’t seem to muster.  So goes America today.  Our elected leaders would rather bicker and argue over politics than serve the people that put them in office.  They allow our unborn children to be killed by the millions and embolden terrorists like ISIS to brutally murder our citizens as a result of their tepid response in defense of innocent human lives.

As I’ve written many times over the last couple of years, I believe a tug of war between good and evil is taking place worldwide.  China kills tens of thousands of unborn children every week under its one child policy.  Hamas seeks the total annihilation of Israel, as does Iran.  ISIS murders women and children daily for having the audacity to own a cell phone or being a Christian.  The greatest country on earth allows over a million of its unborn children to be killed every year. We all know evil when we see it but far too many of us choose to do nothing, hoping that someone else will do the heavy lifting and that we will be the benefactors of their efforts.

We kill one another in the name of religion, radical ideologies, and blind obedience to misguided leaders.  The world has more than enough of anything anybody could ever want, or feel the need to kill for, and it all can be had by simply asking.  There’s no need to kill each other over politics, a parcel of land, or, in the case of our unborn children, as a matter of convenience.  Mr. President, the world stands on the precipice of total anarchy and you’re working on your golf game.  A blood-thirsty terrorist group has vowed to fly their flag in the White House and you fail to understand or lack the courage to do what has to be done; eliminating them from the face of the earth.

Mr. President, America needs to occupy the moral high ground in times like this.  We need to set an example that taking innocent lives is never justified, and stop killing our own children.  We need to step up and defeat the terrorists wherever they are by whatever means we need to employ.   A righteous war is one where innocent lives are protected.  I’m fighting one to protect the world’s unborn children.  Like it or not, terrorists like ISIS have declared war on America; a war we have no choice but to fight and win.  Mr. President, with all due respect, put away the golf bag, strap on a pair, and go win this thing.

Mr. President:

The beheading of James Foley by an ISIS goon showed the world the face of true evil.  An organization that brutally murders innocent civilians in the name of an insane ideology has no place in this world.  Even the Pope has endorsed the use of force to rid the world of these barbarians.  Sir, if you turn the other cheek to terrorists, they’ll cut it off.  And if we don’t take the fight to them they’ll bring it to us.  Our military heroes represent the most sophisticated, well trained fighting force in the history of the world.  ISIS is no match for them and if there ever was a time for America to flex its muscles, it’s now.

Matthew 5:9 states: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.  The terrorists of the world claim to be fighting a holy war.  The true holy war will be the one we must wage to rid the world of ISIS and every other group of terrorist thugs who identify themselves with an abbreviation and a propensity to hide behind women and children when it’s time to fight.  A gang of thugs who are too cowardly to even show their faces doesn’t have a chance when it comes to a real fight against a highly trained and motivated fighting force like our military.

Mr. President, you’re taking baby steps against an opponent who sees baby steps as a sign of weakness.  Targeted airstrikes are a start but must be followed by direct engagement of the enemy.  Political reactions to acts of terrorism won’t get the job done.  America is war weary and rightly so, but ISIS and its hangers on are determined to ply their deadly trade on our soil.  ISIS represents a real and present danger to America and our interests around the world.  Their stated goal is to fly their flag in the White House.  We ignore these barbarians at our own peril and if we don’t stamp ISIS out now it will only be more difficult when the inevitable confrontation finally comes.

You may be asking yourself why a pro-life blogger is advocating military action in a foreign land.  As a military veteran I don’t take placing American troops in harm’s way lightly.  I also understand that as the world’s only remaining superpower, America has an obligation to exercise its capability to eradicate pests like ISIS wherever they are found.  I’ll be back on the job tomorrow fighting for the world’s unborn children.  Just like the world’s fight against terrorism, failure is not an option for me when it comes to saving children.  I’ll stay on the job and respectfully request that you finally start doing yours.

Mr. President:

By the time Michael Brown is laid to rest, his body will have undergone 3 autopsies.  Unlike Al Sharpton, I don’t know what happened, so I won’t speculate.  What I do know is that Michael Brown’s life was priceless, but no more priceless than that of the police officer who shot him, and no more priceless than the more than 3,000 unborn children killed today in America.  When I see so much angst over the very public loss of 1 human life I can’t help but wonder how long America’s abortion industry would remain viable if placed under the same scrutiny as Ferguson, Missouri.

If you weighed in on the death of just 1 of the innocent children killed by Planned Parenthood today would it make a difference?   The Civil Rights of every unborn child killed today were violated.  Eric Holder is on his way to Ferguson, Mo. to investigate the killing of Michael Brown; supposedly to insure that his Civil Rights were not violated, and to stir the pot of raw emotions for the news media.  Why doesn’t he visit the closest Planned Parenthood clinic on his way?  He can see firsthand how innocent Americans are brutally killed every day for no good reason.

Mr. President, why do you feel it is appropriate for you to comment on the death of Michael Brown?  Was his death more important than all the young black men gunned down in Chicago last weekend?  Why is the death of an 18 year old human being more compelling than that of an 18 week old unborn baby?  Would you pay as much attention if a young white man had been shot by a black police officer?  Sir, I think we both know that the only reason you have thrown the weight of your office into this case is to try and generate some positive P.R. and to divert the news cycle from all your recent failures.

Sir, whatever the circumstances, the death of any human being for any reason other than natural causes is a tragedy.  A systemic disregard for the sanctity of life is running amuck in the greatest nation on earth.  We kill over a million of our unborn children every year and then act surprised when young people kill each other over trivial differences.  We foster a culture of death and then try to convince ourselves that we aren’t part of the problem.  We all want to look to someone else for the answers when the gravity of our inhumanity becomes apparent, reluctant to look within ourselves.

Mr. President, for a little over a year now I’ve been looking within.  Until we stop killing each other and allowing the most vulnerable among us to be killed for a fee, our downward spiral to depravity will continue.  We all have a choice.  We can be part of the problem or part of the solution.   I’ve made my choice.  Have you?

Mr. President:

As the person you assign to read letters from people like me already knows, I have zero tolerance for violence against children.  I don’t care if they’re unborn or well into their teens; you don’t hurt children of any age for any reason.   From my perspective, standing by and doing nothing as children are hurt or killed makes you just as guilty as the one committing the violence.  That’s why I’m baffled that you have chosen to do nothing while Christian children in northern Iraq are slaughtered daily by ISIS terrorists.

I guess I shouldn’t expect more from a President who has allowed over 7 million unborn children to be legally killed in his own country during his Presidency.  Whether a child is killed in an abortion clinic or executed by a terrorist lunatic it’s still a dead child.  How a child is killed is rather immaterial if the desired result is a dead child isn’t it?

Mr. President, you’ve gone on record as saying that just because America has the biggest hammer every problem in the world isn’t necessarily a nail.  I agree; but sometimes you have to throw politics out the window and do the right thing.  ISIS will continue to slaughter innocent civilians throughout the Middle East as long as you tell the world that we will not take the necessary steps to stop them.  I believe that the use of force should always be the last resort, but the reality is that we either eliminate them now or fight them in our own homeland in the near future.

Inaction on our part will only embolden the terrorists.  Just look at what the inaction and assistance on the part of America’s left has done for Planned Parenthood and our nation’s abortion industry.  Before Roe v Wade abortion was taboo.  Now Planned Parenthood and their colleagues openly compete for the business of killing your unborn child for a fee.  America can’t help solve the world’s problems unless we are standing on the moral high ground.  On what authority do we demand that terrorists stop executing children while we allow thousands of our own to be killed every day?

What message does it send to the world when our President goes off on an extended vacation while the world is on fire?  What message does it send when we have the ability to stop the crimes against humanity that are committed daily by the terrorists and abortion giants like Planned Parenthood, and choose to do nothing?

America was founded as a shining example of freedom and human rights.  Until we return to our founding principles the world around us will continue its spiral into chaos and, left to its own devices, will eventually draw us into the void.

Mr. President:

Today was one of those days for me that we all have from time to time.  Everything that could possibly go wrong did.  I left my office feeling sorry for myself; feeling like the weight of the world was on my shoulders.  Mr. President, I’ll deal with life’s challenges and I’ll get through this rough spot.  The thousands of unborn children killed today by Planned Parenthood and America’s abortion industry had a bad day too.  They never had a chance to experience life’s ups and downs.  They will never have the opportunity to experience the contrast between a good day and a bad one.

Mr. President, our unborn children are being killed by the thousands every day, radical Islamists have declared open season on the Christians of the world, and all you seem willing to do is huddle in the White House, calculating the political ramifications of any action you may choose to take.  While you fly off to Martha’s Vineyard tomorrow for 2 weeks of R&R, the killing will continue in America, and around the world.  While you’re living it up in the lap of luxury, the brutal killers of Planned Parenthood and ISIS will continue their slaughter of innocent human beings.

Mr. President, honor and integrity requires one to do the right thing even when no one is watching and even if one’s efforts are never acknowledged.  It’s way past time for you to embrace these attributes.  The world is on fire and it’s all happening because the world’s only superpower is imploding from within.  We have feckless leaders like you determined to deny American Exceptionalism and to relegate America to being just one of the herd instead of leader of the pack.  America has always been a benevolent superpower and, like it or not, we have a moral obligation to protect the innocent and oppressed of the world.

My fight is for the unborn children of the world and the protection of them after they begin their post-birth journeys.  I welcome your help although I don’t expect it.  I’m willing to lose everything in pursuit of my calling and could care less whether my efforts meet the approval of my peers. My goal is to end abortion and to see every child grow up in a world where they are safe and happy.  I’ve seen firsthand how violence against children can profoundly impact these precious gifts from God and their families.

Mr. President, honorable men and women don’t have to weigh the consequences of doing what they know is right against doing nothing and hoping for the best.  I choose to do what I know in my heart is right and I invite you to take your inaugural first steps along the same path.

Mr. President:

I believe in giving credit where credit is due.  Thank you for signing the bill yesterday that provides $225 million to Israel so they can upgrade and replenish supplies for their Iron Dome missile defense system.  I also believe in calling out gutless politicians when they cater to the likes of Planned Parenthood.  The $225 million we’re sending Israel represents less than half of what we send to Planned Parenthood every year.

The financial assistance we provide to Israel allows them to protect their citizens from brutal terrorists bent on killing them.  The more than half billion dollars Planned Parenthood will get from the U.S. taxpayers this year will allow them to kill over 300,000 innocent children.  The numbers just don’t work for me: $225 million to prevent terrorist attacks and $540 million to enable the killing of hundreds of thousands of children.

Mr. President, Albert Einstein famously stated “Nothing happens until something moves.”   America needs to move away from its ‘instant gratification, damn the consequences’ attitude.  We need strong leadership to lead us back to the values that made America great.  With all due respect, we need a President of unquestionable integrity and morals; two qualities that appear to be foreign concepts to you and your administration.

America has been in decline for some time now.  This decline has accelerated under the incompetence, ineptitude, and corruption of your administration.  I absolutely believe that America will continue its downward slide until we reaffirm the first and most basic Right we were founded upon and guaranteed by our Creator; the Right to life.  As long as we allow abortion giants like Planned Parenthood to set the price of a human life at a little less than $320.00 our downward spiral as a nation is insured.  As long as we uphold the legality of killing our unborn children on demand, for a fee, our fate is sealed.

Mr. President, after nearly 6 years in office you have already established your legacy as the most abortion friendly President in history.  You’ve set a tone of reckless spending, abandoning our allies, and dishonoring the protectors of our freedom.  You’ve allowed over 7 million innocent children to be killed by America’s abortion industry and haven’t lifted a finger to prevent even one death.  Your inaction and indifference as millions of American children are killed has emboldened their killers to resort to blatant violations of common decency and respect for the rule of law in their zeal to make it easier and more accessible to have your unborn child killed.

Mr. President, you own everything that has and will happen under your watch.  The blood of millions of innocent children is on your hands.  History will not be kind to you nor will the final Adjudicator of your actions in this life.

As the President prepares to end his marathon fundraising trip for a prolonged vacation in Martha’s Vineyard, I felt it was time to republish a letter I wrote him last August 20.  Not much has changed.  The world is still on fire, he’s totally disengaged, and America’s unborn children are still being killed by the thousands every day.

On the day I mailed this letter my blog had been up and running for 2 days.  I had already written 42 letters to him and I was on pace to publish over 200 letters in my first year.  I’m still writing and most of them are never answered.  That’s OK. I won’t stop, and sooner or later I’ll change one mind or save one child and it will have all been worth it.

 Mr. President:

Just a friendly reminder that while you’re living it up on Martha’s Vineyard,  America’s abortion mills are still killing 140 babies an hour, every day, 24/7.  On a completely unrelated subject, Egypt was on fire yesterday while you played golf and John Kerry wind-surfed.  Apparently, you’re just as concerned about world peace as you are about the slaughter of America’s unborn children.  At least you’re consistent in your incompetence.

I wanted to let you know that I’ve launched a blog and that I’m posting all my letters to you on it.  I can’t make any promises, but I might just make you famous.  As the most pro-abortion President in history, you deserve to be recognized for what you stand for.  By the way, I’ll also be publishing any responses I get from you.  So far I’ve received 4. 3 are the exact same letter and I have no idea what you were responding to with the 4th.  Maybe my readers can figure it out.

During yesterday’s round of golf nearly 600 innocent children died in America’s abortion mills.  During cocktail hour at the 19th hole a couple hundred more met their fate.  Mr. President, no matter where you are or what you’re doing, the killing goes on.  You could stop it but you choose not to; and that frustrates me to no end.  Sir, within my frustration at your inaction my commitment to end abortion in America grows stronger.

Mr. President, I don’t begrudge you for your frequent vacations.  You have a tough job.  My issue is with the leader of the free world allowing his county’s unborn children to be slaughtered on a scale that dwarfs any human tragedy in the history of the world.  Sir, countless thousands of hard working Americans will pay taxes for their entire life to cover the more than $500 million that you will allow Planned Parenthood to receive from our government this year alone.  If the U.S. has $500 million a year to spare, why not spend it for the good of our children, not to fund an organization that kills over 300,000 of them every year?

The children who made the cut today and avoided having their fate decided in a Planned Parenthood hellhole will enter a world, courtesy of you and your leftist friends, where human life is no longer held in esteem and treasured over all else.  I won’t rest until every child makes the cut and every abortionist is denied the opportunity to make another one.

Mr. President, 2,500 years ago Buddha said the following: “Certain are the blessings growing out of your good work.”  I shudder to think what you have coming for the body of work you will leave the world.

 Mr. President:

I don’t begrudge the President of the United States taking vacation time.  It’s a tough job.  Since you became President, the American taxpayers have shelled out over $44 million for your vacations.  Maybe it’s time you dialed back on the Martha’s Vineyard and Hawaiian vacations and spent a little more time at Camp David.

Mr. President, if anybody deserves a vacation; it’s the workers at Planned Parenthood and the rest of America’s abortion industry.  They’ve been working hard since 1973, killing over 56 million unborn children.  They’ve gotten used to the pain, suffering, and death they inflict upon innocent children every day, and it’s about time they took a break.  Maybe some time off to reflect about what they do for a living will help bring an end to nearly 1 out of every 3 unborn children dying as a result of abortion.

In a little over a week I’ll be going on vacation.   I’m determined to relax and have a good time but I know in the back of my mind I’ll be thinking about the fate of the world’s unborn children every minute of every day.  I’ll be unplugged for a week and won’t be able to pester you and everyone else on the pro-choice, pro-abortion side of the most important thing in my life.  Don’t fret though, I’ll be reengaging as soon as I’m back.

Mr. President, I’m committed to fighting for the world’s unborn children for as long as my efforts are needed.  Wouldn’t it be nice if we had a President who was committed to anything other than fundraising and implementing policies that accelerate the downfall of the greatest nation on earth?  How high could America soar if we returned to a time when a third of all our unborn children weren’t at risk of being killed in the womb by Planned Parenthood and its evil cohorts?

Mr. President, living the high life with your fancy vacations on the backs of hard-working Americans sends the wrong signal to America and the world.  Glad-handing and fundraising while the world burns shows a President who is disengaged and unwilling to make the hard choices that must be made.  Allowing the most vulnerable of your citizens, our unborn children, to be killed by the thousands every day shows a President who has no regard for the most sacred of all our divinely endowed Rights, the Right to life.

America cannot and will not remain the world’s last best hope as long as our laws sanction the elective killing of our unborn children.  Our decline to mediocrity will accelerate as the body count of our dead children grows.  You could stop this tomorrow, but that would involve a missed tee time and you having to make a principled decision.  I think we all know where your priorities are.  Fore!
