July 15, 2014

On the evening of July 17 last year I punched in for another night of writing letters in pursuit of my goal of ending abortion.  At the time, Harry Reid was signaling that he was considering allowing a vote on The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.  Since then he has changed his mind.  I was still on track last July to write one letter a day to the President on behalf of the pro-life movement.  Not long after this letter, I decided to branch out and write to all the key players in the ongoing slaughter of the world’s children.

Most of the ideas for my letters come from my perspective as a father and grandfather.  I think about the emptiness in my life had my children and grandchildren never been born, and the words come pouring out.  I was frustrated with the President when I wrote the following letter.  For a man who has shown nothing but contempt for the Constitution, he chooses to hide behind it with his flailing attempts to justify his opposition to a bill designed to save the lives of innocent children.

Since I wrote this letter, States have passed dozens of bills restricting abortion.  We are winning the battles and my hope is that the war will be won in the near future.

Mr. President:

The letters I am writing to you and members of the abortion industry are inspired by the love I feel for my 2 year old grandson.  As parents and grandparents we are entrusted with the sacred duty to care for and protect our children and grandchildren.  Sir, this duty applies to our unborn children and grandchildren too.

Last night my daughter purchased a flotation device and water wings for my grandson in preparation for a pool party he is attending this weekend.  She didn’t do this while thinking about a sacred trust or moral obligation of any sort. She did it out of love for her child and her desire to make sure he is safe.  Mr. President, the natural instinct to love and protect our children is in all of us.  Unfortunately, you, the pro-abortion crowd, and abortion mills such as Planned Parenthood have suppressed this instinct in favor of political expediency and money.

Mr. President, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, of all people, has signaled that he may be receptive to allowing a vote on the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.  Getting this bill through a left-leaning, pro-abortion Senate will be a very heavy lift unless you weigh in on the side of life.  You recently said you would veto this bill if it passed because “it shows contempt for women’s’ health and rights, the role doctors play in their patients’ health care decisions, and the Constitution.”  Sir, with all due respect, this has to be one the most asinine and incomprehensible statements you have ever made; and trust me, the list to choose from is quite long.

Where to begin?  How does a bill designed to protect fully developed babies from a horrific death and women from unsafe medical procedures show contempt for women’s health and rights?  How does the requirement that doctors performing abortions have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of the abortion clinic show contempt for women’s health?  How does protecting the lives of unborn babies and their mothers show contempt for the Constitution?

Since I’m batting a thousand on not getting replies to my letters I won’t hold my breath waiting for your reply to this one.  Hopefully, your interns or some low level staffer charged with reading your mail will see something in one of my letters that moves them to the pro-life side of the aisle.

In the words of Dante, “There’s a special place in hell for those who in times of moral crisis choose to do nothing.”  Mr. President, when comes to protecting our Nation’s unborn children, you have chosen to do nothing.

June 26, 2014

At the end of June last year I was fired up over the seemingly endless stream of blithering idiots speaking out for the legal killing of our unborn children.  Nancy Pelosi was being Nancy Pelosi, and Wendy Davis had just arrived on the scene as the latest cheerleader for America’s abortion industry.  In the case of Senator Davis, if the only cogent argument she can form against closing abortion clinics that can’t meet strict medical standards is that women seeking abortions will be forced to travel farther to have their child killed, she’s in trouble.

It’s hard to debate a topic like abortion with disingenuous people who fail to acknowledge the scientific and moral reality that unborn children are living human beings.  Hard or not, I intend to keep up the fight.  The following letter was on its way to the White House last June 30, destined, no doubt, to the same fate suffered by 3,500 unborn American children that same day; discarded like so much trash.

Mr. President:

Recently, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was asked to explain the moral difference between killing a baby inside the womb as opposed to killing the same baby shortly after birth.  In a classic example of cranial rectal insertion, this glittering jewel of colossal ignorance simply answered that the priest asking the question was “being hysterical.”  Mr. President, you must be so proud of Ms. Pelosi, who claims to be a devout Catholic out one side of her mouth while simultaneously advocating for the brutal killing of our unborn and newly born children out the other side.

Sir, as I’ve stated in previous letters to you, the pro-abortion side, Ms. Pelosi, Planned Parenthood, and the rest of your friends in the abortion industry represent the ultimate in hypocrisy.  One inconvenient fact that none of you can dispute is that 100% of you were allowed to be born.   How dare you and your ilk, after receiving the gift of life, deem yourselves to be the arbiters of who gets to live and who doesn’t?

Mr. President, please keep trotting blithering idiots like Ms. Pelosi out in front of the cameras to state the case for legal abortion.  Her clownish demeanor and abject ignorance of the facts, combined with her seeming inability to organize and communicate a rational thought makes her one of the best friends the pro-life movement could ever have.

Mr. President, another unintentional friend of the pro-life movement is State Senator Wendy Davis of Texas.  Her 11 hour filibuster this past week of Texas’s ban on aborting unborn children 20 weeks and older was a circus.  By using delaying tactics and civil disobedience within the Senate chamber, she and her co-conspirators were able to run out the clock on a bill that she knew was going to pass.  What I will never understand is how a mother of 2 can be so willing to fight against protecting unborn children from an excruciatingly barbaric death after medical science has proved that they can feel the pain of being killed.

I happened across Senator Davis this morning as she was taking her victory lap on Face the Nation.  Although unlike Ms. Pelosi, being able to communicate in complete sentences, the premise she relies on and the illogical justification of her actions is no less baffling.  One of Sen. Davis’s problems with the bill was a provision that would impose stringent medical competency requirements on abortion providers, resulting in the likely closure of all but 5 abortion centers in Texas.  Her problem, in her eyes, was that women seeking to have their child killed at an abortion clinic would now have the hardship imposed upon them of having to drive a longer distance to have it done.

Mr. President, if ignorance is bliss, you and your pro-abortion friends have been doubly blessed with both.

June 22, 2014

Last October, on my son’s birthday, Wendy Davis was enjoying her 15 minutes of fame for fighting against Texas’s version of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.  She was the abortion industry’s latest darling for a short time, and then the bill passed.  Now, her campaign to become the next Governor of Texas is on a steep downward trajectory towards political oblivion.  Just like President Obama, a quick review of her resume shows that she’s not what she claims to be.  At least her friends at Planned Parenthood are honest about their desire to kill as many babies as possible.

Senator Davis was, and still is to some extent, the abortion industry’s latest attempt to make the unforgivable look harmless.  They had high hopes that she would pan out as a squeaky-clean spokesperson for their industry of death and destruction.  They both got what they deserved.

I wrote the following letter on October 8th of last year as I celebrated the life of my son, mourned the deaths of over 3,000 children on the day of his birth, and recommitted my life to saving the rest.

The Honorable Wendy Davis

 Senator Davis:

So now it’s official; you’re running for Governor of Texas.  As I noted in my previous letters to you, none of which you have answered, all you have to run on is your extreme pro-abortion stance.  Senator, in Texas “that dog don’t hunt.” Try as you might, you can’t spin a filibuster to allow late term babies to be killed on demand into the Governorship of a great state like Texas.  You’ll have the Planned Parenthood goons in your corner with their grab bag of dirty tricks and disgusting campaign tactics, but that’s about it.

Senator, just before I wrote this letter I fed my 7 week old grandson.  He’s napping peacefully now within arm’s reach of me as his perfect body processes the nourishing meal he finished 20 minutes ago.  He is growing and living as nature intended, just like every baby that was killed today was meant to do; just as their Creator intended.  Senator Davis, advocating to allow innocent children to be killed on demand is a losing strategy for a political campaign, and for a society that allows it.  Your friends at Planned Parenthood don’t kill hundreds of thousands of innocent children every year for any socially or morally redeeming cause; they do it for the money, plain and simple.  They will use you as long as you promote their agenda and then you’ll be discarded, just like they did to all the mutilated bodies of every innocent child they killed today; after they collected their fee.

Senator Davis, today is my son’s 27th birthday.  My goal is that his children will be born into a world where abortion is nothing but a painful memory of our past.  Our nation has allowed far too many of its future leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs to die a grisly death for the sake of convenience and as sacrifices to a culture of death that feeds on the bodies of our dead children and its disregard for the sanctity of every human life.

Texas is the model for how America can end the slaughter of its unborn children and leaders like Governor Perry have shown that it can be done.  All we need are honorable leaders with the courage to do what they know is right and a society willing to embrace, once again, the Founding principles that made America great.  Unfortunately for you, you’re not that person.

Senator, you recently said the following: “With the right kind of leadership, the great state of Texas will keep its sacred promise that where you started has nothing to do with how far you can go.” You forgot to mention that this only applies if you are allowed to be born.  An unintentional oversight I’m sure.

My letters to you are published on my pro-life blog at www.prolifepoppop.com.  Should you choose to reply, I’ll publish it, unedited.

June 19, 2014

Six months ago today, I turned 60.  And just like every other day for over a year, I was writing on behalf of the world’s unborn children.  As I began my 60th year on earth I felt it was appropriate to continue to pester Planned Parenthood.  It was a Sunday morning and I couldn’t stop thinking about all the unborn children in America doomed to die the very next day.

I think all our ages should be followed by the letters PB, for post-birth.  Since all of us were alive for 9 months or so before our birth, I think it would raise awareness to follow our age with PB to acknowledge that this period in our lives is just one stage of a life that began at conception.

Tomorrow ends another week of killing in America’s abortion mills.  I’ll be spending the weekend trying to change minds and save lives.  Hopefully, I can spur some cancellations at Planned Parenthood offices all over the world.

 Ms. Richards:

Happy Sanctity of Life Sunday!  Isn’t it ironic that while you and your family enjoy today, most likely completely oblivious to the fact that it is Sanctity of Life Sunday, the organization that you run is preparing to kill thousands of innocent children tomorrow?  Hundreds of thousands of pro-life Americans will descend on Washington this week for the annual March for Life.  As the March takes place, Planned Parenthood and America’s abortion mills will be churning out dead babies at a rate of 1 every 26 seconds.

I begin my 60th year today and I’m committed to seeing your industry run out of business in my lifetime.  As I look into the eyes of my 2 grandsons today I will see the pure innocence and unlimited potential that you and your colleagues will brutally deny to over 1.2 million American children this year.  Over 56 million American children have been killed by your industry since 1973.  Don’t you think 56 million is enough to satisfy an ‘instant gratification, no consequences society’?  In my humble opinion it’s about 56 million too many.

America is a basket case right now with a clueless President, 1 out of 3 unborn children being aborted, and millions of people with nothing better to do than to clamor to be offended by statements made by reality TV stars.  Individuals like you prey on scared, confused mothers; killing their unborn children for a fee, all while receiving hundreds of millions of dollars every year from unwilling taxpayers like me to support your evil empire.

Ms. Richards, will you encourage your children to have your unborn grandchildren killed?  Will you subject them to the same unsanitary conditions, brutal procedures, and incompetent doctors that every other mother and unborn child must endure in your facilities?

As I begin my 60th year of life, I pray that my fellow Americans will come to their senses and see abortion as the crime against humanity that it is.  I pray that every innocent child will be allowed to be born and to get its chance to make the world a better place.  At my age, I’ve learned that life doesn’t come with any guarantees, but it does come with the promise that you will get whatever you ask of it.  Let our children live and be amazed by the miracles they will bring to the world.

Correction; I’m 60 years and 9 months old today.  Just like every child Planned Parenthood will kill tomorrow, I was alive for many months before I was allowed to be born.

As always, my letters to you are published on my pro-life blog at www.prolifepoppop.com.  Write back and I’ll publish it, unedited.

June 16, 2014

As I begin another week of fighting for the lives of our unborn children, I’m reminded of a letter I wrote to President Obama in September of last year.  I deal with numbers in my occupation and I deal with numbers in my mission to end abortion.  If I screw up my day job, my company loses money and I could lose my job.  If I fail at my night job, thousands of innocent children will continue to die every day.  I don’t lose sleep over my day job, but I lie awake at night wondering how I can do a better job serving the world’s unborn children.

I feel a connection to the world’s unborn children and feel compelled to stop the senseless killing of them.  If this means I’m seen as crazy in the eyes of some, so be it.  The following letter, written on Sept. 18 of last year, is one in a long series of letters to the worst President in my lifetime.

The White House

1600 Pennsylvania Ave.  NW

Washington, D.C.  20500

Attn:    President Barack Obama

 September 18, 2013

 Mr. President:

As part of my job I work with numbers all day; some really big numbers. At night, after I’ve finished working at my day job, the job that pays my bills, I punch-in for my night job; working to end abortion.  Unfortunately, I work with some really big numbers on my night job too; 56,000,000 babies killed since 1973, 3,300 killed every day, 1 killed every 26 seconds.  Mr. President, these numbers haunt me, and should horrify anyone who sees them.  Every one of these numbers represents a dead child; a child that was killed because now wasn’t the right time to have a baby, or because it had Down syndrome, or because the young mother didn’t want to disappoint her parents, or a myriad other choices that all required an unborn child to be killed.

Mr. President, my night job, an unpaid position, is the most rewarding job I’ve ever had.  I don’t have to worry about a budget or meeting a payroll.  I don’t have to deal with disgruntled employees or pinheads from the IRS.  Most people working 2 jobs dread checking in for the night shift.  I think about my night job all day and can’t wait to get started every night.  My night job is a labor of love and the only result I will accept is the sound of doors locking for the last time at Planned Parenthood and every abortion mill in America.

Mr. President, I take it personally every time another child dies at the hands of an abortionist.  I feel that I failed to protect every child that died today.  I’m committed to saving every child scheduled to die tomorrow, and tomorrow I’ll check in committed to save the ones scheduled to die the following day. Sir, every unborn child killed today was a member of my family and yours. Every frightened, confused mother entering an abortion clinic is intrinsically bound to you and me.

Mr. President, although I love my night job, I dream of the last night I’ll ever have to do it. I dream of a world that welcomes every new child as the gift that every one is.  I dream of the day I can relax and read a book instead of writing letters to you and the pro-abortion crowd.  And I dream of a world where the only mention of abortion is in a history book detailing liberalism’s last 100 years of failed policies.

The 3,300 American children who were killed today died in a country where the value of a human life has been set at the price an abortion mill will charge to kill a human being. Most of them died as a simple matter of convenience and were seen as an unwanted problem, not a living human being.

Tomorrow America’s abortion mills will open for business and the killing will continue.  Tomorrow night I’ll clock-in, more determined than ever to end the killing.

Mr. President, my letters to you are published on my pro-life blog at www.prolifepoppop.com.  Reply to one of them and I’ll publish it, unedited.

June 15, 2014

I’ve been writing a lot lately about the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.  In a perfect world I wouldn’t have to write about something like this.  In a perfect world it wouldn’t be legal to have your unborn child killed.  We wouldn’t allow an unborn children to be killed at any point in their young lives, whether they could feel it or not.  On Father’s Day I would be remiss if I didn’t remind all fathers that our most important duty in life is to protect our children.

On June 19 of last year I felt compelled to remind the President of the magnitude of the killing that goes on in our country’s abortion mills every year.  The numbers are staggering, and so is the President’s refusal to lift a finger to stop the slaughter.

The White House

Attn:    President Barack Obama

Mr. President:

What’s in a number?  The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act protects unborn children 20 weeks old and older from the horror of abortion.  Ask yourself these questions: When did the countdown to 20 weeks start?  Was it at the moment of conception?  Does the determination that an unborn child is 20 weeks old confirm that it is a living human being that has been alive for 20 weeks?  If a child has been alive for 20 weeks, what possible legal or moral justification could there be for killing it at any point in its life, starting at the moment of conception?

One more question Mr. President:  Why is it only wrong to kill a child if it is capable of feeling the pain of being killed?   I’ll help you out since I’m pretty sure you don’t have access to your teleprompter on the rare occasion that you actually read a letter from an American citizen.  A child is a living human being from the moment of conception and is endowed by our Creator with the same right to life as you and I.  Engaging in the intentional killing of a child at any point in its life at any time after conception is not only a violation of the law of man, but of God’s law as well.  Short answer so even you can understand: Killing kids is wrong! Don’t do it!

Now that we have that out of the way, allow me to describe a brutally effective abortion technique your friends at Planned Parenthood are quite fond of.  It’s called saline amniocentesis and got its inspiration from none other than the Nazi concentration camps.

A syringe is inserted into the amniotic sac and up to 8 ounces of amniotic fluid is withdrawn.  The abortionist then injects a concentrated salt solution into the amniotic sac.  The salt solution burns the child’s skin and sears its lungs, inflicting indescribable pain that usually kills the child within an hour.  One to two days later the mother delivers the dead, shriveled body of her baby.  We’ve all had the experience of salt on a cut or scrape and know how it feels.  Imagine that pain over your entire body, including your lungs, until you die.  That’s how the greatest country on earth treats its unborn.

What’s in a number?  334,000 stories of pain and suffering, all ending in the death of a human being, all performed in the abortion mills of Planned Parenthood just last year.

Mr. President, one last question:  How many innocent children will you allow to be killed this year?

June 12, 2014

There is nothing I like better than spending time with my grandsons.  On a stormy day last June my oldest grandson’s daycare closed early and I got the call to pick him up.  We spent the afternoon reading and watching movies together as a rather nasty storm rumbled outside.  Times like this are what my fondest memories are made of.  Nothing earth-shattering happened that day, but I got to spend time with a child that I love more than life itself.

By the middle of June last year I was fully committed to my letter writing campaign to the President.  The following letter was written on a stormy June 13 after my grandson had been safety tucked into his bed for another night of pleasant dreams.

June 13, 2013

 Mr. President:

Today may have been a relatively uneventful day for most people.  For me, it was just another day at the office until I got the call from my daughter asking if I could pick my grandson up from daycare, since they were closing early due to bad weather.  That’s when my day took a dramatic turn for the better.

Having the opportunity to spend 2 hours with this precious child made my whole week.  As we sat together, listening to the approaching thunderstorm, he snuggled close to me, knowing that whatever the storm brought, Pop Pop would protect him.

Mr. President, the scourge of abortion has denied millions of grandparents the feeling of trust and unconditional love that I feel when I am in the company of my grandson.  There is no greater honor for me than to be entrusted with the care of this child, and I would die for him without hesitation if need be.

Mr. President, it’s time that our country got its collective head screwed on straight.  We’re allowing Planned Parenthood, as well as others, to kill our unborn children as a matter of convenience, and frankly, as a means of routine contraception for some.  This has to stop.

As long as our society allows its unborn children to be killed for a fee and discarded like trash, our country will continue its rapidly increasing decent into moral oblivion.  Sir, as I’ve said in previous letters, none of which you have replied to, I believe America was divinely inspired.

Having been divinely inspired, we have a sacred obligation to hold in reverence the sanctity of all human life, especially those of our children.

Mr. President, indulge me tonight as you look into your children’s eyes.  Remember all the hugs, tears, skinned knees, and birthday parties.  Imagine the void that would be in your life if your 2 beautiful daughters had never been allowed to be born.  Imagine the indescribable pain that would have been inflicted upon them had they been aborted, and then tell me that you still believe that abortion should be legal and performed hundreds of thousands of times a year in this country.

Sir, you’re a smart guy.  You know that killing our children is wrong.  You don’t have to worry about getting reelected.  Do the right thing.  The world is watching.

June 11, 2014

This time last year, the House was about to vote on the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.  President Obama had already made his intentions clear.  He had promised to veto the bill if it made it through the House and then the Democrat controlled Senate.  The House passed the bill and, as of this date, nearly a year later, Harry Reid refuses to allow a vote on it in the Senate.  I understand that reasonable people can disagree on what’s right and what’s  wrong.  What I can’t understand is why anyone would take a position against a bill designed to protect pain-capable unborn children from being killed, using a barbaric procedure such as dilation and evacuation.  Ripping a living human being apart with the intention of killing it should be illegal whether that human being is yet to be born, or at any other stage of its life.

Pain-capable babies continue to be killed every day in America while Harry Reid stonewalls this bill and the President glad-hands with Planned Parenthood.  I reached out to the President with the following letter on June 12 of last year.  As always, I copied his good friends at Planned Parenthood just so they would know I was thinking about them too.

The White House

 June 12, 2013

 Mr. President:

Since you claim that your inner circle doesn’t tell you anything, I just wanted to let you know that the House will be voting on the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act next week.  This bill, if passed, will ban abortions on living human beings 20 weeks old and older.

While I don’t think this bill goes far enough, I’ll take every small victory for our innocent children and be grateful for it.  Medical experts say that unborn children can feel pain as early as 8 weeks into their young lives, so my question to you and the murderers at Planned Parenthood is this: Does the fact that these innocent children die an excruciating death at the hands of an abortionist bother you at all?

I’m quite sure that your surrogates and those representing the abortion industry are hard at work behind the scenes to protect their cash flow from late-term abortions, whatever the science says and regardless of the reality of the pain and suffering they inflict.   Hopefully, enough men and women of principle will resist the arm-twisting and do right by our children.

Mr. President, I think we both know that whatever the House does, this bill is dead on arrival at the Senate.  We both also know that a little arm-twisting of your own can get this bill through the Senate.  Then, all you have to do is sign it, and countless thousands of innocent babies will be afforded the most basic and most important of all human rights, the right to life.

Try to forget for a moment that money is more important to your good friends at Planned Parenthood than the lives of our country’s children, and do the right thing.  Sir, God knows you’ve made a total mess of this country in less than 5 years, but being remembered by historians as the man who stemmed the tide of abortion and stood up for the right to life of the most vulnerable among us will seal your place in history.

Mr. President, I’m a bottom line kind of guy so I’ll give it to you straight; your administration is the most corrupt in the history of our country, even the left-wing media is turning against you, and you could really use a little positive PR right now.  Push the bill, sign the bill, and make a whole lot of new friends.  Trust me; you’re going to need them.

June 7, 2014

With football season finally in sight again, I was reminded of how Matt Birk, formerly of the Baltimore Ravens, blew off the President when he invited the Super Bowl Champion Ravens to the White House.   Matt is a man of honor and integrity and refused to rub elbows with the most abortion-friendly President in history.  I like to see men and women stand on principle, without regard to the cost.  They know we can’t break our principles, we can only break ourselves against them.  Generally accepted principles of human behavior, the most important of which is respect for every human life, will prevail in the end; but at what cost to our unborn children.  Maybe the most inept smartest President in history can explain it to us.

I wrote the following letter last June 10 to the man who claims he can stop the rise of the oceans.  I’d be happy if he could just tell his staff to stop sending the same form-letter back to me over and over and over.

The White House

1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW

Washington, D.C.  20500

Attn:    President Barack Obama

 June 10, 2013

Mr. President:

One saving grace of being a citizen of the socialist republic of Maryland is having the Baltimore Ravens to cheer for.  Since we have a Governor who, incredibly, is even to the left of you and just as pro-abortion, we savor the small pleasures such as a Super Bowl Champion football team.

I was especially happy to hear that Ravens center Matt Birk blew off your White House reception for his team as a matter of principle.  Like me, Matt is appalled that the President of his country could stand before Planned Parenthood and state “God bless Planned Parenthood.”   Matt Birk is a pro-life advocate and not meeting with the first sitting President in history to speak before Planned Parenthood was a no-brainer.

Mr. President, in their latest Annual Report Planned Parenthood reported that they had performed nearly 334,000 abortions during calendar year 2011-2012.  That’s 334,000 innocent children brutally killed for profit, for no good reason, and with your approval.

Sir, Planned Parenthood is a disgrace to our country and the world.  As much as they try to dress up what they really do by calling it reproductive health care, we all know that they’re in the business of killing children.  I wonder how many of my fellow Americans will have to pay taxes for their entire life to cover the tab for the nearly $543 million Planned Parenthood received from our government last year.  Just think how many hungry children could have been fed with this money and what contribution to our society and the world these innocent children, who are killed at the rate of 1 every 94 seconds, could make if just given the chance to live, just like you, me, and the abortionist were given.

Life is a relentless force and will ultimately prevail in spite of the best efforts of you and Planned Parenthood to stifle it.  Try as you may, you and your fellow pro-abortion hypocrites cannot continue to kill hundreds of thousands of innocent children every year without consequences.  Mr. President, our God given gift of free will is a 2 way street.  While He grants us free will, we will all be held accountable for how we exercise it.  Have you given any thought to how you will address our Creator when the time comes for your inevitable meeting with Him?  Let me give you a friendly heads up; He doesn’t buy political spin or BS, both of which you are admittedly fluent in.

With all due respect, may I suggest the closing for your next speech before the murderers at Planned Parenthood; “May God have mercy on Planned Parenthood.”

June 5, 2014

Last June I was less than a month into my mission to end abortion.  Quite frankly, I was just beginning to realize how hard it was to come up with something different to write every day on a subject like abortion.  Some nights I floundered and some nights were easier than others, but I stayed at it.  I feel a sense of urgency to get my work published, so, some days I have to admit that I don’t take the time I should to get every piece to a quality level of writing that I strive for.  Over the past year I’ve written so much, that when I go back and review many of my letters, I have no recollection of writing them.  Maybe I’m just getting old.

I wrote the following letter to President Obama on June 5 of last year, and it happens to be one that I don’t remember writing.  I wonder if anyone at the White House remembers reading it.

The White House

1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW

Washington, D.C.  20500

Attn:    President Barack Obama

 June 5, 2013

 Mr. President:

I am constantly tormented with the knowledge that as I go about my daily routine, living my life, and providing for my family, innocent babies are being brutally killed in unspeakably barbaric procedures in America’s abortion mills, every hour, and every day.  These precious children have committed no crime and deserve no punishment.  They are God’s gift to the world and yet our laws continue to allow them to be slaughtered by the thousands.

Mr. President, at the end of my life when I stand before God I will proudly proclaim that I did everything I could to save our children, and I will ask for His forgiveness for not being able to save them all.  Sir, in my humble opinion, there can be no higher calling in this life than saving innocent children from the horror of abortion.  I know you and I disagree on the subject of abortion, but sir I ask you to look at the numbers.  At least 350,000 children will die in Planned Parenthood’s abortion clinics this year.  That’s another 9/11 by a factor of nearly 120 every year.  If 350,000 adults were slaughtered in America this year do you think anyone would be outraged?

Just so you know, I have decided that since you are joined at the hip with Planned Parenthood, I will be copying them on all my letters to you from this point forward.  Hopefully the time they spend shredding my letters will be time they’re not spending dismembering innocent children.

America’s abortion industry is nothing less than our generation’s holocaust.  The world was justifiably outraged when 6 million Jews were exterminated by Nazi Germany for no reason other than just being who they were.  All Americans of good conscience should be just as outraged that our laws have led to the murder of over 56 million children since Roe v Wade.  And sir, it’s getting worse.  So called bio-ethicists are now debating post –birth abortion and are proposing that parents should be able to abort their children up to the point that the child realizes its personhood; about 2 to 3 years of age.  This begs one to ask if our civilization can devolve any further.

Mr. President, I won’t stop asking for your help and I won’t just go away.  This is too important.  Let’s work together to end the scourge of abortion in our great country.
