Ms. Richards:

Remember the last time you saw a large aquarium?  Beautiful fish of all shapes, sizes, and colors darted in all directions in a complex ballet of incalculable precision.  Then there’s this one really ugly fish hanging around the sides slowly gnawing the green scum from the glass surface.  Occasionally he’ll dart to the bottom to gobble up the latest deposit of fresh fish poop; then he reassumes his position gnawing at the scum in his bug-eyed glory.  I don’t know the ichthyologic classification of this fish so I’ll call him a scum sucking bottom feeder.

Funny how every time I hear the term scum sucking bottom feeder I think of Planned Parenthood.  Come to think of it, equating your organization with crap eating fish is an insult to all the turd gobblers of the world.  Unlike Planned Parenthood, they provide a needed service and nobody gets hurt.  They do it for free, they don’t have an agenda, and the children of the world love to visit them.

Ms. Richards, I see you’ve been busy lobbying the California State Legislature to allow individuals other than doctors to perform abortions.  I guess your stated mission of providing quality reproductive health care and protecting a woman’s right to choose doesn’t include protecting a woman’s right to choose to have her unborn child killed by an actual doctor.  In your defense, you still achieve the desired end result, a dead child.  Who cares if the individual performing the procedure didn’t go to medical school and may not have the training needed to handle unanticipated complications?  Planned Parenthood still gets paid, so it’s all good.  Having abortions performed by individuals other than doctors will probably result in you having to lower the fee for having a child killed, but I guess you’ve crunched the numbers and determined that increasing the number of procedures you can perform will offset the lower fee per procedure and actually increase your bottom line.

Your new slogan: “Care. No matter what.”  fits seamlessly into your business plan for California.  No matter what you have to do, including performing abortions with individuals not having a medical license, just so you can hit your revenue projections, is all in a day’s work.  Killing America’s children is not what I consider Care, but we’ll address that at another time.

Yesterday I saw a picture of your clinic in Bryan/College Station, Texas as it was closing for the last time.  Watching the Planned Parenthood sign being dismantled was a beautiful sight.  I hope to see this image repeated many times over the coming months and years.

For your information, I’m publishing all my letters to you on my pro-life blog at www.prolifepoppop.com.  Should you ever decide to reply to one of them I’ll publish your reply, unedited.  Hope to hear from you soon.

Ms. Richards:

Yesterday, while your hired killers took the lives of 1,000 more innocent children my family received the good news that my preemie grandson had progressed to the point that he could go home today.  After spending his first 11 days since birth in NICU, he finally gets to start the normal part of his life surrounded by a loving family in his own home.

Ms. Richards, the 1,000 children killed in Planned Parenthood’s clinics yesterday were equally deserving of the same opportunity to make the most of their lives, just like my newest grandson will.   Since the leading cause of premature death for an unborn child in America is its mother walking into a Planned Parenthood clinic, do you feel any sense of responsibility for the moral decline of an America where the Right to life is no longer held as sacred?

America’s unborn children, who continue to be killed as I write this, are an endangered species.  Last year nearly 1 in 3 pregnancies ended in an abortion mill; yet you continue to lobby for less restrictive abortion laws.  The abortion to adoption referral ratio for Planned Parenthood is nearly 200 to 1.  Your industry looks the other way as monsters like Kermit Gosnell literally butcher innocent children, often after they are born alive.

As my latest grandson enters his 9th month of life he enters a morally and financially bankrupt country that teeters on the edge of total collapse; but everything is going to be ok.  His generation, with guidance from those of us who treasure their young lives above all else, will return America to her divinely inspired course. These children haven’t been corrupted by the fancy marketing campaigns that strive to make your industry look like mainstream medical care.  They haven’t yet been indoctrinated by our culture of political correctness where common sense is set aside in favor of cheerleading for vacuous causes and false promises.  As a parent and grandparent I gladly accept the obligation to guide my children and grandchildren along the right path.

Ms. Richards, the first step towards leaving our children and grandchildren a better world is to stop killing them before they can even be born.  The 1,000 children Planned Parenthood killed today won’t get their chance to leave their mark on the world.  The 1,000 kids you’ll kill tomorrow will never experience the loving embrace of a parent or grandparent.  The 334,000 babies killed last year in Planned Parenthood’s clinics are nothing more to you than a one line entry on your Annual Report.

My newest grandson is home now, nearly a month before he was supposed to be born.  He’s alive and healthy just like the thousands of unborn children were who died today in America’s abortion mills.

Ms. Richards, shame on you and the industry you represent.

Ms. Richards:

This is one of those good news/bad news situations.  The good news for my family is that my little grandson who was born 5 weeks early just 9 short days ago will be going home this week.  The bad news for you; Planned Parenthood missed out on another one.  If I have my way, America’s abortion mills will be missing out on all of them soon.

I absolutely believe that most American’s are decent, moral people.  They’ve been lied to, misinformed, and convinced that abortion is a necessary evil that must be protected under our laws.  They’ve been sold a bill of goods by liberal politicians and a compliant press that abortion should be safe, rare, and legal; all this while the brutally efficient killers at Planned Parenthood and America’s abortion industry kill over a million innocent children every year.

Ms. Richards, perception is reality.  Many Americans still perceive abortion to be a rather innocuous procedure where no one gets hurt and the mother goes home none the worse after having her pregnancy terminated.  Having your pregnancy terminated sounds so much better than having your living baby ripped violently from your womb and discarded like yesterday’s trash doesn’t it?

While we’re talking about perception, semantics are also used with great success by America’s industry of death.  The term, Partial Birth Abortion, doesn’t even come close to describing the horror of the actual procedure.  But why would you want to describe the actual procedure where the unborn, fully viable child is turned by the abortionist while still in its mother’s womb so it can be pulled feet first from its mother?  The baby is then completely delivered except for the top half of its head.  The abortionist then inserts forceps into the base of the child’s skull, severs its spinal cord, and kills it.  Sometimes at this point in the procedure a CNS Decompression is performed to make it easier to remove the now dead body of the child from the mother’s birth canal.

Ms. Richards, the brutal methodology of a Partial Birth Abortion doesn’t sound quite as touchy-feely as its description, does it?  Incidentally, CNS Decompression sounds much better than what it actually involves; that being the suctioning of the dead baby’s brain matter from its skull.  But, from your perspective the baby’s already dead so why not collapse its skull so you can remove its body more quickly?  Heck, if you hurry you may be able to squeeze a couple more in before your 2 o’clock tee time.

Ms. Richards, I’m not a big fan of semantics or calling something what it’s not just so it sounds better; so I’ll get right to my point.  You disgust me.  Planned Parenthood disgusts me. America’s abortion industry disgusts me.  Your doors will close for the last time in my lifetime.  Any questions?

Ms. Richards:

At 12:45 AM last Saturday morning my latest grandson was born; 5 weeks premature, struggling for every breath, but alive. Ironically, just moments before his birth, my daughter could have requested that he be aborted under the laws of my state.  All she would have had to do was to say that she was under emotional distress and couldn’t cope with her new child, and America’s abortion industry would have taken care of the rest.

My little grandson is a fighter.  He may be small at only 4 lbs. 14 oz. but he is willing to fight for his right to life.  He’s still fighting for every breath and getting stronger every day.  He will win his fight and the sky is the limit for what he will accomplish in his life.  While he is doing the hard work of growing strong and growing bigger, countless thousands of equally worthy children will be killed in their mother’s wombs for all kinds of baseless justifications and all for a fee, payable to Planned Parenthood or some other abortion mill.

Watching an innocent child, moments after birth, struggling to breathe and fighting for life is a humbling experience.  The effort he is putting forth, even as I write this, makes the everyday things that I worry about pretty inconsequential.  The hard work my grandson is doing right now strengthens my resolve to never give up on my quest to close the doors of America’s abortion mills and to insure that every unborn and newly born child gets a chance to fulfill its life’s potential.

My new grandson will be coming home soon to meet his big brother who will guide him through the joy of every new day as only a 2 year old can.  Ms. Richards, this is what life is all about; living our lives while helping others live theirs.  Fortunately, the Universal Intelligence that granted my grandson life will erase the memory of the trials he is going through now, so his first memories will be of the loving family he has been born into.

My 3 day old grandson is living proof that life is worth fighting for.  He is living, breathing proof that pre-term babies are living human beings just like you and me.  He is living, breathing proof that he was alive for nearly 8 months before his birth.  And he is living, breathing proof that every new life must be allowed to run its natural course wherever that journey may take it.

Ms. Richards, every unborn child that died in a Planned Parenthood clinic today deserved the same chance to live its life that my little fighter is fighting for right now.

In honor of my children and grandchildren, you have my solemn promise that I will not rest until the doors of every abortion mill in America are closed for the last time.

Ms. Richards:

If you’ve bothered to read any of my letters you already know that I have dedicated the rest of my life to ending abortion.  You would also know that I am doing this in honor of my 2 year old grandson and his little brother who is going to be born any day now.  I love my grandchildren more than life itself and want every parent to become a grandparent so they can experience the joy that comes simply from being in the presence of their grandchildren.

My intention isn’t to bore you but I want to recount an experience I had while babysitting my grandson last night.  By the way, I was babysitting so my daughter and son-in-law could visit my daughter’s best friend who had just given birth to a baby boy.  I guess you guys missed another one.  After his bath, my grandson was supposed to be brushing his teeth but was preoccupied and not doing a very good job.  I asked him to pay attention to what he was doing and, after being ignored several times; I took his toothbrush and told him that he had not done a very good job brushing his teeth this time.  He immediately burst into tears and I could see that he was upset because he thought his Pop Pop was disappointed in him.  A couple minutes later we were playing and reading books but I will never forget the look on his face when he thought he had let me down.

Tomorrow night is my weekly ‘grandson night’ and a certain little boy will be receiving extra attention and hugs from his Pop Pop just to make sure he knows how much I love him.  Ms. Richards, these are the experiences we all remember when we choose life and guide our children and grandchildren through their individual journeys.  If my grandson reads this someday I want him to know that he could never let me down and that my love for him comes without conditions and without an end.

Ms. Richards, the young lives that ended in Planned Parenthood’s clinics today will never get the chance to feel a grandparent’s embrace and unconditional love.  The only life experience they had was a short time in their mother’s womb, followed by a brutally violent death, followed by an equally brutal disposal as nothing more than medical waste.

I saw a billboard today a couple miles from one of your clinics.  It said the following: If every child aborted since 1973 was honored with a moment of silence we would be silent for nearly 100 years.

Tomorrow is a new day and with it comes the promise of another chance to change minds and change the world.  I’ll keep chipping away until I break through and convince you of the error of your ways.  Check your mail, read your mail, change your life.

Last Saturday we took our grandson to a local carnival where he rode the children’s’ rides, experienced new sights and sounds, and declared his intention that when he turns 3 years old he is going to ride the Ferris Wheel with his Pop Pop.  We spent Saturday and Sunday together and I missed him the moment he left to go home with his Mom and Dad.  Ms. Richards, I love my grandson with all my heart and can’t imagine life without him.

While my grandson spent the weekend being loved and spoiled by his grandparents Planned Parenthood and the rest of America’s abortion mills killed about 6,600 innocent children.  These children will never experience a grandparent’s loving embrace or take their first Ferris Wheel ride.  They all died in a cold and brutal manner, their tiny lifeless bodies discarded like trash, their priceless lives cut short by an industry that brings shame to our great Nation.

Ms. Richards, I ask myself every day what I can do to end the killing of America’s children, and every day the killing continues.  All I can do is persevere with faith that good will triumph over evil in the end.  I honestly believe that the world is embroiled in a battle between good and evil and that your organization and your industry represent the epitome of evil.

I’m trying to understand the mindset of people like you.  Tell me what sense of accomplishment you get from killing hundreds of thousands of children every year.  What is rewarding about your work?  Do you measure your success by profits or the number of babies you kill?  Do you see every pregnant mother as a potential client?  Are your affiliates rewarded for high body counts?

Ms. Richards, my grandchildren and yours deserve to grow up in a country where unborn children are treasured and protected, not killed for a fee.  I want the culture of death to end with our generation.  I want every child to experience the love of a grandparent.

Here’s how we can make this happen.  Have Planned Parenthood stop performing abortions immediately.  If you really are concerned about women’s health, start providing women’s health services.  I’m not asking you close.  I’m just asking you to stop killing babies.

Think about it.  You already have the infrastructure.  Start using it to do some good and stop the killing.

Ms. Richards:

Immediately after conception a new life’s DNA is encoded by a universal intelligence that most of us, in one form or another, call God.  Before a child draws its first breath this universal intelligence will have programmed into its DNA what color its hair and eyes will be, how tall it will be, its predisposition to certain illnesses, and even how fast its fingernails will grow.

However, nature leaves it up to us to teach our children to respect life and to protect it at all costs.  No one is conceived with their DNA preprogrammed to make them an abortionist, a mass murderer, or a saint.  These lifestyles and behaviors are learned and chosen, not predetermined; and that’s the double-edged sword of free will.

Ms. Richards, I’m pretty sure you didn’t decide as a little girl that you wanted to grow up to run an organization that would kill millions of innocent children.  You apparently made a conscious decision to hang out with liberal eugenicists and the ‘holier than thou’ crowd who, with their Right to life firmly intact, felt it was incumbent upon them to decide who got to live and who had to die.  While you and your friends in the abortion industry profess to be providing a needed service and protecting the rights of women, all you’re really doing is killing babies for money.

The dirty little secret is that over half the babies Planned Parenthood kills are girls.  So, unless your idea of protecting the rights of women involves killing them before they can be born, I believe you may need to rethink your mission statement.  While you’re rethinking your mission statement you may want to take another swing at your new slogan: “Care. No matter what.”  And while you’re at it you probably need to fire your marketing consultant too.

May I suggest you try truth in advertising?  How about “Kill. No matter when.”  I must admit that for an organization that kills hundreds of thousands of children every year, using a slogan like “Care. No matter what.” is a ballsy move, although according to Roget’s Thesaurus, care is not a synonym for kill.  You are, however spot on with “No matter what.”  Planned Parenthood is willing to kill as many babies as possible, no matter what the majority of Americans want, no matter what suffering you inflict upon millions of children, and no matter what it takes to increase your bottom line.

Ms. Richards, no child that is allowed to be born will grow up wanting to kill children for a living.  There is no justification for what you and Planned Parenthood do and you will ultimately be held accountable for your actions.  I honestly believe that you know this somewhere deep inside.  Look into your heart and decide that you will care; no matter what.

Ms. Richards:

Since Planned Parenthood and the rest of the pro-abortion crowd are in the business of killing babies for money, when it comes down to presenting a logical, fact-based argument for what you do, you have nothing.  Since you have no justification for killing America’s unborn children, you always fall back to the same old default question:  What about victims of rape and incest, and what if the life of the mother is in jeopardy?  What you fail to mention when using your reliable fall-back is that considerably less than 1% of all pregnancies fall into this category; an honest mistake I’m sure.

Modern medicine has virtually eliminated the circumstances where a mother may be in danger of losing her life if she carries her child to full term; but you already know this.  You also know that after suffering a despicable act like rape or incest, killing the child conceived by this act does not end the mother’s suffering, it adds to it.  Not only does the mother feel the guilt and pain inflicted by the sexual predator, but having an abortion leaves behind the guilt of knowing that she had an innocent child killed.  Ms. Richards, should a child be executed for a crime its father committed?

Since Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry live in the world of hypotheticals, and have nothing without the rape, incest, and life of the mother argument, let’s see how far you’re willing to ride this horse.

If we can agree that abortion is only justified in the event of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother then we also must agree that over 99% of abortions are not justified.  I want to save the lives of every unborn child, but if we can agree as a starting point that 99% of abortions are not warranted, then I can focus my attention on the remaining 1%.

Ms. Richards, Planned Parenthood killed 334,000 babies last year.  Let’s stipulate that 99% or 330,660 of these abortions were unwarranted.  We can’t undo what has already been done but we can change things moving forward.  From this point forward, let’s agree that Planned Parenthood will only perform abortions due to rape, incest, or imminent threat to the life of the mother; then we can talk about the other 1%.  I’m committed to saving them all, but if we can start here in good faith, I’m convinced we can work this out.

Let me know when we can meet to draw up our agreement to save America’s children.

So it’s official; Texas has passed legislation that will end the killing of babies 20 weeks old and older.  As an added bonus, in all likelihood, 37 of 42 abortion mills in Texas will be forced to close.  While I’m savoring this victory, I’m not satisfied.  I want every abortion mill in America shut down.

I noticed yesterday that many of your signs; the ones not displaying a vulgar theme, stated “Cheaters Never Win.”  I don’t mean to pile on, but you guys can’t even get this right.  The correct terminology as espoused by Jon Huntsman in his book of the same title is “Winners Never Cheat.”  He also included the caveat “even in difficult times.”  Just thought you might want to know this so your people don’t look like such buffoons next time; although I’m sure they’ll find a way to do just that, in spite of my help.

Speaking of buffoons, how did the 18 clowns who tried to enter the Senate gallery with sample jars full of feces manage to poop into such small containers without making one hell of a mess?  Come to think of it, if I was dumb enough to let you pay me $2,200.00 a month to show up and cause a ruckus over something I knew nothing about I’d probably be dumb enough to poop in a jar for you too.  What kind of sick mind comes up with these tactics?  Was it you?

Ms. Richards, had these sick individuals been successful in avoiding security and were able to hurl their feces at legislators, did they know they would have been charged with assault?  Did they know that Planned Parenthood would have disavowed any knowledge of their actions and left them swinging in the breeze?

Next up, the predictable lawsuits from your side as you fight tooth and nail to keep your sleazy abortion mills open and keep the revenue stream flowing from the blood of dead babies.  Ms. Richards, if the work you do was for a noble cause do you think you would have to fight so hard to keep the details of what you do hidden from view?

Ms. Richards, do you not understand that the most basic of human instincts is that of self-preservation?  Nature gave us the ability to feel pain so we could respond to threats to our wellbeing.  Babies are able to feel pain within 8 weeks of fertilization.  Late-term babies feel the excruciating pain of being ripped apart by an abortionist and yet you fight to be allowed to continue this practice.

Based on the scientific certainty that procedures such as dilation and evacuation cause unimaginable suffering for the child being killed, I have only 1 question for someone like you who endorses and fights for the right to continue this procedure.  Why?

Ms. Richards:

Coming from a pro-life advocate you may find this hard to believe, but thank you for all you are doing for the pro-life movement. Your supporters’ ongoing use of children displaying vile messages in support of abortion is doing more for my cause than I ever could.  Today in Texas, as the Senate prepared to vote on legislation to ban abortions for children 20 weeks and older, a child was seen carrying a poster proclaiming “Jesus isn’t a dick so keep him out of my vagina.” Security officials also confiscated jars of urine, feces, and paint from pro-abortion protesters attempting to enter the Senate gallery.

Ms. Richards, when you have to stoop this low to promote your cause, maybe it’s time to rethink your cause.  And when the American taxpayers send you over half a billion dollars every year so you can fund such outrageous behavior our elected officials need to revisit their priorities when spending our money.  Ms. Richards, have you and Planned Parenthood no shame?  What human being with even a shred of decency could justify fighting for the right to kill 5 month old babies in their mothers’ wombs?

You will lose the fight in Texas.  The lives of countless innocent children will be saved and your side will be outraged again because restrictions are being placed on your quest for abortion on demand from conception to birth.  The walls are closing in on Planned Parenthood as monsters like Kermit Gosnell are exposed and the ugly truth about your industry that you have fought so hard to hide comes to light.  There are more Gosnells out there, but you already know this.  That’s where you send mothers with the really big kids so they can ‘take care of things.’

Ms. Richards, how long do you think you will get away with calling what you do reproductive health care?  How long do you think Americans will allow your organization to kill their unborn children?  How will you state your case when that inevitable time comes when you’re standing before those Pearly Gates and you’re forced in an instant to review your life and justify the actions you have taken during your life?  Will you proudly proclaim that you were complicit in the killing of millions of children and that your actions were for the good of humanity and in accordance with Natural Law?

It’s never too late to do the right thing.  You can use your free will and change in the blink of an eye.  Imagine the impact of someone like you changing sides.  While I’m not holding my breath, I beg you to at least think about it.  In the meantime, keep trotting out little kids with vulgar signs.

We appreciate it.
